This ad is from June 1997 and introduces the all-new Vectra into the Australian market, also known as a Vauxhall/Opel in Europe (where it had been on sale since 1995). The ad features the 1976 song "Every 1's a Winner" by British group Hot Chocolate.

As I was growing up, I had admired a Holden Vectra and wanted one with my family. Recently, they hadn't been too reliable and I see plenty of them in wreckers yards. At least we didn't buy a Vectra earlier.

Timing belt, anyone? Oil cooler? Radiator? Heater exchange hose? Blaupunkt radio starting on max volume? All of this issues at the same time? Rear main oil seal? Neutral control solenoid? These cars were not good

I use to have 2002 holden vectra but it was a crappiest car ever so i use to trade the 2002 holden vectra for a 1996 Holden vectra SRI but the 1996 vectra sri was the best safest car's

No such thing as a 1996 Vectra - it didn't go on sale until 1997. Also there was never a SRi model. Are you in Australia?
