Back out again in the woodland for a cold overnighter and this time im out in a vintage tent on a very cold winters night .

The Trigano family began selling textile goods back in 1935 in France under their family name. The following year, with the introduction of paid leave in the country, the company began to sell tents. This was the beginning of camping in France and Trigano has been strongly associated with this activity ever since. They make a lot of Trailer tents and awnings as well. That tent is probably an antique now :)

Glad your back is improving Mate and hoping it will be 100% soon. That was a lovely camp despite the cold. Yeah, a nice easy, lightweight dinner is always good especially if you’re hiking in a long way. I’m sure I remember the name on that tent from ‘ back in the day’ - but that just shows I’m an old git 😂🤣😂🤣 Cheers Marc

Hi Mark, Trigano is a French brand and they are still going (since1935 !!) I knew the name as it's in some French song I remembered from when I was a kid. Didn't know they were a camping gear company though.

@@mdmoutdooradventures No worries, they seem to have some decent stuff, even modern versions of vintage looking tents. If you google them: Trigano Tentes (with an e, the French way,) their website will come up.

You and Alan are genial blokes! I LIKE the Zero Pillow for its loft and its shape. I have a similar Orthopedic one and it is not only comfortable, but it assists in positioning my airway for easier breathing.
I’ve used the zero pillow on every camp since I’ve owned it and it’s great 👍 it’s not let me down yet 👌

Good to see you out camping again - even though it's still chilly! Not sure that moving a sofa would have been such a good idea if you already have a bad back, but hopefully you had some help to do that and have been able to rest up since 😊😊

It's nice to not be walking around like an old man anymore been horrible. For the first week I couldn't even stand up straight
Dude just found you channel, my personal favourite tent are the "conquest range of tents" pre Vango (important, V = lesser fabric), made by people that knew how to handle canvas. 40 to 50+ years old and still stand up to modern alternatives. I camped out in last years Feb 22 storms= no problems. I believe the conquest tents where made by sail makers, not the modern day rubbish from over seas.
I couldn't agree more , 100% the older gear was made better and actually made to last . Now days with most things ( not all ) its just make it cheap and sell it for a high cost and in reality it's just cheap but people think it's great because it cost them loads 🤷♂️ although the new sleep mat I got for Christmas that I mentioned in the video isn't cheap but I've used cheap mats and the cheap mats I've used are ok but are crap compared to my new thermarest so it is true with some things you do get what you pay for but alot of things are well over priced for what they are and how they are made .
