I have rehomed tarot of the divine too. The bow is because it’s not a true linen cardstock, it’s just a linen finish on top of a coreless cardstock. Cardstock with a core will bow over time but not nearly as fast as the tarot of the divine did. This deck was a must buy for many of us in the community and due to that, it got overexposed on CZcams and instagram, and when I see a deck everywhere, I kind of get sick of it (e.g lightseers, It’s a great deck, but I can’t stand seeing it everywhere).
I think I need Tarot of the Abyss. You have done a lot of work on this series and I appreciate it a lot. We see your decks through your other videos, but this is different and so informative.
Lol I love listening you talk about tarot so sometimes I put these videos on when I'm dozing in and out of sleep (when I wake up too early or am having trouble falling asleep). You've talked about the Tarot of the Sidhe many times but seeing the cards this time really piqued my interest. Going to have to look into it more! Tarot of Vampires too... Great video as always!
Just FYI, I do think Tarot of the Crone is out of print for the indefinite future. I read on ELP’s website about a few months back that she was retiring it to focus on other projects. I emailed and asked to be added to a list for future printings, and while she was able to find me one final “extra” copy that had turned up (!!), it doesn’t sound like there is a near-term plan for another run.
I so love that you picked up the Somnia. It's one of my absolute favourites and it would be amazing if you did a deep dive once you've worked with it for a while.
Loving these videos -- such beautiful cards and always healthy to watch enthusiastic energy! Tarot of the Crones -- that's a tough one, right? There were a handful of cards that I absolutely loved but so many that fell flat for me. In the end I rehomed it based on the fact that I never reached for it. Thank you for sharing, Lisa!
Oh my gosh, no! Tarot of the divine? Lol😅 I got the hardcover book with the stories and I never do that but the stories matches the tarot card meanings so well it’s definitely One of those rare tarot Mass market gems that I adored! And since I live in Canada with humidity, my decks bowing happens all the time :( I hate it lol
That's okay, I bought myself The Mythic Moons of Avalon by Jhenah Telyndru two weeks before Christmas, add it to the cart while I was Christmas shopping for the hubby and my daughters, and yesterday I ordered the Avalonian Oracle. 😀 Lisa Made me so it!!! 😆 🤣
I feel like people throw the term “Thoth deck” around too liberally. There are very clear and important attributions that make Thoth Thoth. If those attributions are ignored or not included it is not Thoth. Is Strength/Lust 8 or 11? First tell. Is the Star attributed to Heh or Tzaddi? Second tell. It’s really not that hard. There are only 3 decks I have ever seen that are true Thoth and I have scoured every list of “Thoth based” decks I could find. The only 3 I have found are the Rosetta Tarot and Tabula Mundi, both by M.M. Meleen. And the other is Liber T: Tarot of Stars Eternal. The use of pips and symbols does not a Thoth make.
Thank you for weighing in! :) I try to use the term 'thothy' but I may not be consistent ;) Typically I look at decks with Thoth influences or heavy Thoth influences as thothy - and certain imagery feels that way to me. But I hear you on the core elements that make it a Thoth deck, systemically! :)

Spirit Keeper Tarot is My favorite Tarot ! truly N1 ! and I love she includes the Iching. and the book is so amazing ! I love Benebell.
