Her talent and title as "the queen of liars" is more on the idea of her being able to detect the lies of others (that's what made her such a good gambler) rather than being good at lying herself.
And it's not to say that she wasn't good at it though. Just not enough to win the class trail.

the guy has main character plot anyways, the writers of this show really did her dirty. Her poker face was perfect until she couldn’t maintain it any longer. That speech she gave at the end was truly legendary, although she had her execution, I really hope to see more of her further on in the show.
