Transports me to Royal events I can only imagine! I'm listening to this thrilling music after the terrible fire damage sustained recently by Notre-Dame. I count myself *very* fortunate to have experienced the stunning beauty and grandeur of this inspired Cathedral some ten years ago. It must be restored as much as possible to a semblance of the original; in spite of the recent protests against.

Aha! This LP was an old favourite of mine since childhood, so I'm delighted to learn that someone else remembers it with fondness. Those first chords of the Delalande always threatened to blow the coils of one's speakers.

What a beautiful world the pre-revolutionary France was, so far as music is concerned!

"Turnabout" was one of my favorite record labels. They were less expensive than most other LPs and their repertoire was amazing for the time.
