One of my most favorite underestimated franchises.
the world wasn't ready for the first Tron and it seems we've only gotten worse. but thank, god, we get another. i just finished Tron cartoon and was so pissed it just ends like that. I've been watching the video game story for more story line.
This movie and soundtrack was light-years ahead of its time.

Oh man the nostalgia...

I used have this... As a bit of an artist and using the read-along book, my mum, with her brushes, painted outlines of the characters, vehicles and controls with aluminous ‘glow-in-the-dark’ paint. 😄

Just noticed this - in the movie, TRON had an orange ligjht cycle, not a red one.

Tron: I'm Also Better Than You!
DISNEY'S TRON 40TH ANNIVERSARY 1982-2022!
The voice of Flynn is the same actor who played Larry on the 70s cartoon Clue Club.
I had this record and book when I was young. Used to record the audio to the cassette so I can listen to it on long car trips.
Same :)
I just got this book at a Bookfair in my town today! The record is intact!
8:00: oops. XD
I remember this movie and it came out in 1982. But I didn't know it was a read along.
very nice
I like the Lightcycles on the grid.

this was available for download as an mp3 from some webpage or perhaps a BlogSpot now on my ipod ...somewhere
how cool, had this as a kid. heh, seeing the pages again ...
Am I crazy or is this narrator the same exact voice from every 80's & 90's movie trailer?
I wouldn't doubt it. they used that guy's voice for everything.
I know he was the narrator for the series of 45 RPM read-along records, telling the story of "Gremlins" in 5 parts, that Hardees sold as promos for the film.
The narrator on this record is Chuck Riley.
The movie trailer guy was Don LaFontaine.
