I know that the captions are not always the correct words but it was enough that I understood. Music affects me in many different ways even when I don't understand the words. Typical first reaction to a Lara Fabian live show (especially from that era). Nowadays Lara is somehow quieter on stage. Still an awesome voice and technique, but somehow less powerful in her rendition. Late 90s/early 2000 Lara was a stage beast. A real interpret more than a simple singer. Enjoy this concert but also the 1999 “En toute intimité” show or her 2002 live concert in Paris. Some real emotional gems there. Lara is one of those artists who has a deep connection with her audience and fans. As she said one day, her fans might love her more for her personality, her simplicity but her wholesomeness than for her songs.

Personally I love her performance back in 1998 on the stage of the Stade de France singing with the French Rock'n'roll legend Jonny Hallyday... fantastic and powerful duet... I was there and still remember all the goosebumps that song produced on me.

Lara has been the best singer since she appeared..she hasn't been recognized and valued for reasons I cant explain. In my channel dedicated to Lara and biggest fans, i am doing interviews recently to have opinions about it. It's all a theme that must be analized. But it's never late to be known, recognized and valued in music world and Lara's time is just coming up..after many years of career...she was practically swept away in a unfair way...

Texas les61 I understand. Im just saying like the emotion in the song overwhelms you that much, speaking you cant understand it is a little odd but to each their own. French is a beautiful language, but can be very complicated when coming to grammatical laws. Best of luck.
@@devyn4189 yes the emotion of the song overwhelms me that much. I also watched the video with the captions turned on. I know that the captions are not always the correct words but it was enough that I understood. Music affects me in many different ways even when I don't understand the words. I'm not sure why or how that happens but to say that music is a universal language and that is what I understand. Have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead.

Typical first reaction to a Lara Fabian live show (especially from that era). Nowadays Lara is somehow quieter on stage. Still an awesome voice and technique, but somehow less powerful in her rendition.
Late 90s/early 2000 Lara was a stage beast.
A real interpret more than a simple singer.
Enjoy this concert but also the 1999 “En toute intimité” show or her 2002 live concert in Paris. Some real emotional gems there.
Lara is one of those artists who has a deep connection with her audience and fans.
As she said one day, her fans might love her more for her personality, her simplicity but her wholesomeness than for her songs.
