This thing is awesome. Used it personally a few times, and saved probably a half dozen people who were stuck with a dead car in a parking lot. Every car should come with something similar honestly. Life saver.
@@NOCO I've sold so many stranded people on your product I should start getting commission! Just kidding thanks for the great product
after 4 weeks of "social distancing" and "stay at home", i had to leave the house but the battery on my traverse was completely dead.
i used my GB40 (hadn't been charged in almost a year and a half!), and my traverse fired right up the first time!
no waiting on AAA, no calling a friend or knocking on a neighbor's door.
i'm seriously thinking i should get these for my kids, and my parents!
great product!!!
matthew ozga hi, How long do I leave it charging the first time I open it?
One of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I live in the middle of nowhere and whenever my car battery was dead, I was stuck waiting 2-3 hours for a tow truck just for a jump. So I bought a Genius Boost. I’d never jump-started a car in my life (I was always afraid I’d somehow electrocute myself or hook things up wrong and blow up my car - yeah, pitiful, I know), but before long, the day came when my battery was dead and I had to grit my teeth and give it a go. I took my phone out with me, watched this video (which I’d saved knowing I’d need it one day), and holy crap, it worked like magic! My car battery was totally dead, too ... my car had been had been sitting in deep snow for over two months while I was unable to drive. This video made using the Genius Boost for the first time so easy, because even though I read through the entire instruction booklet, it still seemed overwhelming. But using this video, I hooked the booster up, turned it on, waited 30 seconds, turned the key thinking “Please, please, please let this work,” and YAY!!! It was way easier than I thought! So now I recommend the Genius Boost to both friends AND strangers. Just one tow truck call for me was $65; the Genius Boost was $99. I wish I’d known these things existed years ago. It’s saved me SOOOO much money, and I love that I can also use it to charge my phone and laptop during power outages, which are a regular thing here in the mountains.
Love the lord of the rings epic music for my epic car failures . Thank you Noco you save me
This is the BEST most THOROUGH and to the point video. Excellent explanation and simple instructions. Great battery, Great video. Thank you NOCO crew.
I agree. Very clear. I’ve just jump started my car, driven to the garage and replaced the battery based on watching this and I hate anything car related!
I watch 3 or 4 demonstrations of this unit and this one is by far the best. Also it was the only one that mentioned that when using the override button not to touch the clamps together as you wouldn’t with regular booster cables. Thank you.
This device is SUPER amazing. What a great time to be alive.
We've had one of these for a few years now, it's saved us more than once with our older vehicle. SO easy to use too!
I got myself an '89 civic that doesn't warn you when you've accidentally left the lights on, so I bought this thing and stuck it in my trunk just in case. I've ended up needing it a few times for my car, my friends cars, my neighbors car, and also charging my phone and as a flashlight. It's easily the best hundred bucks I've ever spent.
finally got to use mine today and managed to help someone else out who was stranded. took less than a minute and worked on the first try. glad i was able to be helpful for someone.
4:18 - “but most likely you will never have to use it so we recommend ignoring manual override”
This was the FIRST feature I had to use! ignore my ... ha
Love the video though. Very helpful!
Seriously, this video was really well made! Clear and straight to the point! Awesome!
Accidentally left my radio and light on overnight, completely drained the battery. Had to use the Manual Overide function but started up right away. Thumbs up from me, highly recommended.
Tha k you so much. My battery is dead bc of the dumb lights but I was too afraid to do it in manual override but seeing this I feel relief. I hope it'll work tonight!!
Thank you so much NOCO and the staff who made this video..i just lost my manual.
Its a good booster i just used it on override mode as my battery was very flat. Its jumped the battery and i got the car starting! Great product
Instruction book is an inch thick with two vague pages in any particular language. This video is 100% better in explaining things.
I just brought one yesterday and used it. LOVE it....
Did not expect to find such a helpful video!! Thanks a bunch 🙏🏽
*Noco has the best products on the planet that are related to charging batteries and jump-starting car batteries!!!! Expensive but it is definitely worths*
This gadget and this video saved my ass. I don’t know shit about cars and I was able to figure it out in no time. I even had to use the manual override feature and between this video and a couple others to make sure I was hooking everything up properly, I had immediate success.
I haven't had to use mine yet, but honestly, after all the reviews and nightmare stories, I'm really glad I have one in both vehicles.
Manual override was such a amazing feature to have, thanks for making a video
@@bleek2530 yeah, it's good for when there's absolutely no charge in the battery. Had to use it a few times when my SUV would drain the battery dry.
@@bleek2530 totally is, I live in Canada where it get -40c weather and this has been a life saver in the cold months
Honestly I learned something new good job lol i always try to jump start my truck every 5 seconds without success
To those of you saying that this won't start your car, this thing was able to start my jeep.
Another safety in manual mode is you don't need to wait 30 seconds to start the car you can go right away and start the car and then as quickly as you can with the car started go back out to the unit and turn it off, in manual override mode the unit will get hot fairly quickly only after about a minute or so so don't leave it on too long and if you do wait 15 minutes for a cool down
Works very well with my 2003 Mustang GT. This is a life saver.
One of these just saved my butt. Going to buy another one immediately lol. Stupid easy to use!
This is the best explained video ever
Absolutely brilliant! The product that you describe is probably better than the product that I bought however the technique is virtually the same. Thank you for this most instructional video!
Great video in plain English.
Fantastic product and great video tutorial!
Awesome product-one of my best investments ever. Hands DOWN 😂❤️🙏
Thank you for this video I was pulling my hair out wondering why can't I jump my car the manual override fixed the issue.
Simple explanation how it should be sent video to my wife for referral 👍
I have the GB40 and it works great! It has got me out of a bind several times now and is worth every penny you will pay for it. I recently jumped off a Toyota Tundra big truck with this so it has plenty of power.
Excellent product and very helpful video!
We use this tool all the time at work and had to buy myself one too 👍🏽
It is worth the money - I used it once before without boost - and today - battery was completely dead without even my key remote opening my car
Used the boost and job done ...! Planning to buy for my rest other cars too
👍👍👏👏 Perfect how-to from the manufacturer of a great piece of equipment! Thank you.
Great info and well made video👍🏼
The recover mode rescued my leisure battery that had died, sat in 11v for a few months, before I remembered this feature. Was about to buy a new one. Took about 24 hours, but good as new, holding full charge for a month now.
This product is the best......awesome!!
This helped a great deal. Thanks a lot!!!
And another battery chargers up! Thanks guys 💯
Just used mine and thank God 🙏 A definite necessity !
Very good video, thank you!
I Work to a Construction Company with Loaders....Saw this With A much Larger And Much More Amps Miracle Happened...Well, I Brought the 2000amp Model ($200.00) Best Money I Have Spent. its -30c today in central Alberta. it works great. I wish they had this 40 years ago.
well done video, thank you. good voice, simple and clear instructions.
Thank you! It wasn't starting at first, but when i used the override button, WHALLA! It started! Thanks so much!💚

SOLD! just got mine today.
I used it today to jump my motorcycle and it worked great
Just bought one for myself, my Range Rover Battery Died and this did the Job... Small and portable... 👌👍
Good video, explained well . Thanks
Very informative and easy to understand instructional video.
This is how it should be done! Great video
I JUST BOUGHT ONE!!!! I LOVE IT!!! THANKS!!!
It's been a month since you asked your question. Have you received an answer?
I just got one and it worked for me, first try. I'm happy as hell. Cool product, overall great reviews...Id recommend.
Soo helpful thank you!
I just got one...AWESOME!
Awesome product from experience. Highly recommended
Great video just bought one of these the GB40 version.
What a well made product and video
Wow this video is excellent and this product is great
Good video, I had to use manual override the first time I used it tho, but it did work.
Please start putting the " Integrated voltmeter. " on all of your NOCO GB jump units
just like you do on the Noco GB150.
Start putting that on the GB20, GB40, GB70 as well. Quick way to tell if the alternator or battery is the problem.
Ohhhh baby I bought you instead of a towing / auto club membership. I hope I made the right call lol!
I've used the GB-40 twice and both times I've had to use the manual override for it to jump start my car and my ATV.
Great video. Thanks
it works great job
Manual override FTW. Car was sitting for over 30 days. Resurrected one shot!!!!
Immediately gave a like when the woman in the Acura came out of her vehicle in her "workout clothes".
Nice video, I just bought one.
This manual override could be quite useful for the purpose intended, if it
is still putting out 12 volts in this mode, it might also be handy to run heavier loads than
cell phones, in situations where I don't need a 'booster' unit.
Yes! the best one I ever got.
Used it a few times worked great video was helpful and well made
Works great !
Love this everyone must have
Great quality product.
I seen one of these start a BMW with no battery I thing it was a Noco GB90, it was amazing to see.
Superb!
I purchased the NOCO Boost jumper last year and thankfully haven't had to use it yet. I do have a question though...at the end of this video, all of the components were displayed. The cigarette adapter /charger was not in my box/bag. Should it have been included in my kit?
The video was done extremely well, thank you. I'm hopeful someone can help me with my missing part.
The GB40 left me stranded. Couldn’t jump my vehicle.
Thank you for the video.
It would be helpful with time stamps or just 1 min long.
best thing ive ever bought.
This worked first try on my 5.7 liter Hemi engine truck so I dont know what sickpuppy is about
This product rocks
Failed to Jump Start my 1.6L engine(even after multiple tries in a half an hour span). The battery seemed to have low charge only (tested at Canadian Tire assuming that my battery might be severely damaged/detect other possible issues with my starter). Since the battery was okay, I used a booster cable afterward with another car that jump-started my car immediately. I am not even sure if I can rely on this product (until it disappoints me again next time!).
Ok, I'm buying it!
That was really cool
Worked for me. 1 month idle.
Can I connect my old jumper cable to the provided Boost cables if they don't reach the battery and engine block?
Wow I want one!
Feels like a Skynet video from the Universal Studios terminator Ride
great 👍 👌
They work great for about 20 starts, then start to lose capacity and eventually won't jump start even after recharging. Like leaving a flashlight on, bright at first but goes downhill. Could be good if used sparingly, However a new one makes their commercials look awesome.
I bought one because my battery srarted to die . This only happens once in a while because today's automobiles àre more reliable. The 20 boosts àre fine for the average joe schmo like me unless I live to be 100. In that case my driving privileges would probably be removed because of poor eyesight . The person running an auto shop should probably get a commercial model instead . Anyway I am hoping to get 5 years out of the product .
Can i use it to power a 12 V diesel heater for test purpose? The heater draws 10 A for one minute and then only the fan and pump.
Also it's much more effective if you leave the unit hooked up to the battery for about 3 minutes then start the vehicle. It'll start a lot quicker, and if you need to turn it turn the engine off and then start it again immediately you'll have enough juice in the battery to do that some Vehicles need that reset after a dead battery restart. Like the GM cars of 2019 and newer definitely need that restart in order to get calibration and 4G back if you're using OnStar.
By the way if you're OnStar gets a little flaky after you start your engine that's a good sign that your battery is starting to go bad, typically if you do a lot of stop and go traffic like if you're a delivery driver that's going to happen a lot sooner, a three year battery might last only a year with if you're driving 50,000 miles a year which is very common for delivery drivers to be doing on a single vehicle.
Honestly, this video was pretty well made lol

Right!Tell me about it.
Great voice and explanation.
