This came out in 1970's. Many many artists/bands have covered this song (Rod Stewart, Roy Orbison, The Rolling Stones, Ringo Starr). The Doobie Brothers sang this at a few of their concerts that I attended. It sounded Awesome. They renamed it "Give Me The Beat Boys". I haven't heard a bad version yet. It's a Timeless Classic!
This is a big change from his original style. His first album had so much deleted to make it family friendly it wasn't worth it to put in some stores. Thank you again for a great reaction

This is a remake by Uncle Kracker in his unique style and voice.

I loved Uncle Kracker's remake of this song, but my favorite is the original by Dobie Gray (who is FEATURED in this video!) I'd never heard of Uncle Kracker until this song.

I am pretty sure that the guy that sang the bridge and the echo after that was the OG Dobie Gray himself. I would call this a palate cleanser for the original 😂😂 By the way, this is one of my top 5 songs ever, and I think this was a great cover.
Ok, I admit that I only subscribed for Adam Lambert reactions but I was scrolling CZcams and this popped up. It takes me back to being a teenager. This came out in 2003, not 2009, fyi. The fact that you didn't immediately recognize this song makes me feel soooooooo old, LMAO. 😂🫠

Great song! Unfortunately his voice is not quite as strong as Dobie Gray but he has brought it to a new generation of listeners. It's always admirable to see a new interpretation of a great tune!
