    It's not too late to learn about and try articulated streamers! In this video, I share my "base" pattern, which you can modify with many options. Keeping it simple is the key to me, and most importantly, be sure to check your connections before fishing!

    Tim Great Video !!! Keep up the great work !! I have used Beadalon for connections it's a liitle stiff and I have used braided Dacron leader By far the best movement .People in Pacific Northwest Like Sanyo's articulated wire.. Beads I use 6 mm walleye beads The are cheap and you can by them by the hundreds

      Thanks for the comments and recommendation for the Dacron. Can you get me a little more information on that? I'd love to try it out and compare the two. Also, GREAT suggestion on the beads for everyone; thanks again! Tim www.troutandfeather.com

    Hey Tim. Cool looking pattern! Is the EP chromatic brush in midnight color or blueberry? Asking for a friend 😜

      @TimCammisa  Před 2 lety

      Hi Joe, and thanks for checking! I love all of the brushes EP puts out, though MIDNIGHT is definitely a favorite! ;-) Thanks for checking. Tim www.troutandfeather.com

    I use 20lb braid (Spider Wire) and only use a single thread to connect the two halves. I find it allows for more wiggle and remember that doubling up the connection almost doubles the breaking strength which i don't think is necessary.

    • @TimCammisa
      @TimCammisa  Před 6 lety

      Thanks for the comments, Sam, and I know of a few others that prefer SpiderWire for the connector. How do you attach it to the two hooks? Thanks again for taking a moment to share your ideas. Tim www.troutandfeather.com

    • @perposterous1
      @perposterous1 Před 6 lety

      I attach it by tying palomar knot to the trailing hook. The knot holds really well and you only have one line attaching the two hooks. I think it gives it a lot of wiggle. Something to keep in mind is that most braid has a waxy coating, so make sure it's tied to the leading hook well.

    Way too large, looks good on video, but that has to be a pain on the rod, that's two woolies connected by beads, not truly a single articulated fly.

    • @TimCammisa
      @TimCammisa  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Definitely a pain...until you see the fish I've landed on this fly. Then there's no doubt as to why I continue to fish it. High risk, high reward. ;-) Tim www.troutandfeather.com
