I got the idea to try to rehab orchids in terrariums last winter. I’m glad to see that the experts do this as well.
This is so beautiful! Do you have an update video on how the terrarium is doing now?
Yes, I'd like to know as well!
A lot of things probably die lol
Thank you to much. I just purchased a few orchids yesterday and was going to do something different but I have an aquarium in the basement. Im subscribing!
Oh wow how beautiful! I’m totally going down the street to the bush trails to find me some bark/wood pieces! Thanks so much for sharing wow! 💚🪴
Thank you So much for the tips. Be blessed 🙏🏻💕
Beautiful excellent explanations I really loved this video thank you for sharing it.

Beautiful!
So pretty 😊
Great information thank you
Wonderful. I like the idé
I would just add some small fans for better ventilation.
This is amazing 🎉🎉🎉
wow!!!!
It's August 2022 do you have an updated video of the terrarium? I'm just starting one in a 40 gallon aquarium with mini-orchids. Help please!
Absolutely stunning work.
You gave me plenty of informations about the rooots that i ignored until now.
Thank you very much.
What would you reckon to be the ideal intensity of light for phaelenopsis, dendrobium and cambria orchids ?
I have been watching all kinds orchid growing videos since I got mine, Eleven, in October. The pots never made sense to me. They live on trees, why are they just in pots. I found the same things with my bromeliads, so I planted them in pots, but in the holes of cauctus wood. I am not sure how this will work in the long run, but so far they seem to be digging it. I have an old aquairum, and will be running with your idea.
Do you have a brand of sphagnum moss you recommend buying in order to grow some?
Thank you so much for your video!
What about placing an aquarium air stone under the roots?
sometimes I use something to tie them to my trees or now in terrariums that is biodegradable, once they get growing the thing breaks down and they hold on with their roots
Are we supposed to keep the humidity up between 50-80 % all the time?
Yes
Thank you!
Do you disinfect the bark or plants?
My aquarium has a grated cover. Is that ok?
Love this, thanks 👍
Thanks for the informative video! I light burned my plant and the leaves turned purple. There is still healthy roots but the leaves have been purple for almost a month but not quite dead. Should I removed the leaves or just let them be?
Do not remove the leaves, let them spare all the accumulated nutrients first to other healthy leaves. Purple colours means that you can see through other than chlorophyll pigments. They still can be healthy and will recover. If leaves are needed to dye off they will dry out and fell of on its own.
@@Classyflowers thank you!
Do we cut the stem down when there aren’t any flowers?
Where did you get the driftwood from?
Where do u place the aquarium?
Do you need to water the orchids?
I live in very werid climate. Its semi arid.
It is very hot in summers. March to june its very dry heat and temps 42 c. After that fron July to September temp lower down to 35 but very high humid heat due to mon soon rains.
Then pleasent warm plesant weather from September to November.
And winters from November to mid February and temperatures drop to 18c at day and 4c ar night. With sometimes 10c in day too. So how can i keep orchid under glass.
Thanks for your video how and when watering this terrarium?
The water should just slightly cover the stones, if water level drops just add some osmotic or bottle water. Water needed mostly for mosses rather then orchids, however moss can survive also for a few days without water, because they can accumulate moisture.
@@Classyflowers do you water or mist Orchids at all? If so, how often? Do you feed them and can they stay in the terarium forever? Or only untill they get better? Thank you x
How much light?
How to create a video on setting up an orchid terrarium without saying a word about lighting. Genius.
Mine is located near large, east facing window. I do not normally use any artificial lighting. Use it if you need it. It is obvious and common sense, I didn’t realize I have to talk about this.
It is to bad that you attached the phal upside down
Aren't u worried about what the outdoor woods will bring to your orchid?
Does it have be pine bark.
Not really
Damn :-( I killed so many orchids and never even bother to check until now :-( but this time I’m going to take care of my flower
Está todo echo muy mal ocupando mucho espacio nulo
Can you cover it with a top that’s mostly holes
