Pain clinic : I feel it depends where you’re practising as well. Not easy to get 10 patients in your OPD each day, let alone procedures. Even well established departments in institutes who have majority of in hospital referrals for pain clinic are seeing 25-30 patients on a good day. Open to corrections & views.
I think this point depends more on individual.other options are more predictable in terms of income. To become a successful pain physician ,not only depends upon your clinical skills but also marketing and other skills and obviously as you said area of your practice specially purchasing power as pain procedures are costly. I choose to work in a rural setup district level hospital through NHM in Chhattisgarh and getting paid more than 2.5L. I'm absolutely fine giving up the city life to work here.

Do I need to complete an MBBS to study anesthesiology, or I can take a BSc. in anesthesiology and then an MSc.? How much salary is paid in both, and which is paid a lot more? Or I have to do a phd to get same salary sir. Both will be called as anasthologist?pls reply sir.
@@thejasviniMurugalingam No, an Anesthesiologist is a Doctor. You need an MBBS degree after which you need get at least a Diploma or DNB/MD Degree in Anesthesiology.
Rural practice is a better way to earn 2.5L. you can stay right beside the hospital and avoid traffic, you'll have good Highway connectivity to travel to local towns on weekends, you will save more because you don't have many expenses or compulsions. You can stay under the radar of IT dept 😉😂
Yes ....but u wil loose ur confidence on giving general anesthesia and nerve blocks and epidurals as most of the surgeries done in rural area are lscs ... I too worked for 6 months in taluk place in Karnataka , I used to make 2 lakh per month from free lancing...but only lscs used to happen...so I m shifted now to a district place

Yup .. one of frnd makes around 6 lakhs a month and one more around 2 lakhs ... But the one earning 6 works 24*7 compromising quality time with family even on holidays .. but for him , money matters coz of other commitments.. so it's all about priorities !!

@@DrFarazMD ya .. as u said it's good to go to foreign land work there for few years and earn good amount of money and come back to India , that too only if our parents are healthy and independent.. but if their are not strong enough and need atleast some amount of dependence, then there is no point in going behind those huge chunks ..!! My parents are not that healthy, so i dropped the idea of going for UK exams after my PG.. i think they need my help now and most important, they need some quality family time especially wit their grandchildren.. wat is more important than inner peace in this world !! But as far as money is concerned.. i just don't want settle wit just MD anesthesia, so i am into financial markets too.. i am on my way and process to learn trading which i think in India is most underrated and overmanipulated by big players .. so i m constantly learning trading rules and psychological aspects related to it !! So my first income is always from anesthesia And second one is trading.. but still in the process of learning!!
