  • I have long been inspired by the art of Mariko_koda on Instagram. Her style is interesting and looks so much fun.
I have borrowed from her style and tried to infuse my own style into it. I think it's been successful - I like the page I did. Let me know what you think in the comments.
    Mariko's Instagram account is here - / mariko_koda
    Let's get creating!
I value every like and comment received on my videos. I love hearing from you, taking time to individually respond to each person. Leave me a hello and I will always say hi back.

Hi Belinda, wow! I love that, you have such a good imagination, I would never have thought of anything like that. I liked how you used the scrappy leftover pieces and built off of that. I also liked hearing your though process and how you would tackle something.
I don’t remember you filling us in on your Stepdad before, I think you started to but didn’t get there, so thanks and I pray he is feeling better now. Thanks for the visit đŸ‘â€ïžđŸ‡ŠđŸ‡șđŸ„°đŸ€—đŸ˜˜

It was a bit of a messy time, I couldn't remember if I had said about him or not. 😏 Glad you enjoyed the art journalling, sweetheart. đŸ„°

I'm keen to give art journaling a go but I think I'll leave this until I have more experience. TFS 😊

Experience comes from doing, so I say jump in boots and all. Part of the fun is looking back and seeing how far you've grown, how your style gas developed or shifted, and to notice trends in your art journalling (like colours you use most or avoid). Just give it a go, sweet. There really is nothing to lose. đŸ„°đŸ˜˜

I never actually journaled in any way until after I 'discovered' junk journaling last year. I had started to try a daily 'diary' when I got into the art mentoring group a couple of years before that but was never consistent beyond writing down what needed to be done each day. Art journaling has only very recently come into my life. I realised seeing your collaging that my 'junk journal january' ideas journal really fits the art journal area, as it was totally playing with prompts each day with no real 'use' thought of. And now I've started art journaling in my Bible study 'past and future' journal as I study Genesis 1, by doing a spread for each day of creation. You have definitely inspired me to play more and experiment without judgement. Thanks Belinda!

Beautiful, Mari. I think quite often we do things with no idea that it is 'a thing' or has a name. A natural evolution of a personal journey of exploration. Yes yes, and yes to more play, more experimentation, and definitely no judgement. Appraisal, but not judgement. đŸ„°đŸ˜˜
