Hi Kaye, i have just discovered you and enjoyed your fascinating sewing room. What a delightful room. I have just been able to start a sewing room. My husband built me a large table so that i could drop my vintage Frick sewing machine into it giving me a good spacious working surface. I'm new to quilting and at age 81 am eager to get going. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have subscribed and will keep following you. I have to cut yardage and have put this off as i was not sure and in the first video i spotted you showed me just what to do. You are a true treasure. I’m watching all the way from South Africa. 🙋

thanks, Kaye - I got lots of tips for my new sewing / craft studio when we move. I do all the crafts you do - plus a few more. But their supplies are in different rooms all over our current house. We're looking for a house with a room or basement large enough for every hobby. And yes, I am decluttering and purging before we move! Hubby hates to see my stuff.

I’m nearing the end of creating a nice sewing room and have watched LOTS of videos for inspiration. But I haven’t chuckled through any of them until now. I wish you were my neighbor! Thank you for being both inspiring (yes!) and entertaining. PS, don’t get rid of too much. That’s your legacy for kids, relatives, friends - and estate sale fanatics like me.
Good Point - - I have a friend that says we should NEVER SPARE our children this grief - - after all - we raised them - - It would be daunting even IF I HAD TO CLEAN UP AFTER MYSELF!!!!
I dont like red in my rooms but this crimson ton of raspberry is lovely ....and yess flower look fabulous on this background walls ..... love how neat all it look and penny catcher for travel ...well you my Dear are just make me roll over my carpet now ... i love this beautifull table with glows and framed favourites it's so CHIQUE not at all shaby-chique. Thanks for the nice words - - the frames are really easy - I just covered foam core bulletin board material, then stapled it in the milk painted frames - - they really do come in handy and you can change anytime - - As for plants - - my next one I want is the Fiddle Leaf Fig - - it's a beauty
@@KayeEngland The African Violet remark made me laugh. In my early 20's I grew African Violets with wild abandon. Then we moved and this house does not have windowsills, so they all died. But I do like the idea of putting a table right up to the window. It's not life I've never seen it before it's just that it hasn't been a big deal. Now I've been looking for some African Violets and since we're empty nesters, I can do whatever I want with wild abandon. I've come full circle except I'm decades older now. 🤣 It's never too late to start!
Ohh my gosh, I'm in love with you, you just don't know how good this video has made me feel. My husband, my 2 adult children, and my step adult children, and neighbor's and those at church say, you have to much stuff you're a hoarder and it's not worth anything and that stuff is going to the dump when something happens to you, on and on they go. I'm so sick of hearing about it but you know what gets me they all have their junk oh excuse me there items are worth money and they have value, give me a break, sick of it and the more they say the more I will continue to have my collections and sewing stuff and projects, the art and the journaling stuff, why because it keeps me centered and I love my Stuff. So a great big Thank you for revitalizing my heart and it's desires.

You make me feel sooo normal. I love sb, junk journals and mixed media with a lot of different materials and also needle crafting and quilting, sewing and everything paint and thread. Don’t forget the fiber arts knitting, crochet and tunnecian o my Lord how much fun!!! Thanks for inspiring and teaching me so much! I admire your energy and creativity.

I suppose I could add a 'tape measure' to my table but it works well because when I need the space for larger work, both mats are ready - -
