So many people talking about Hafthor and Martins, but this year is going to be a another battle between Tom and Mitch and I can't wait to watch Tom get the 3rd WSM title.
Thor isn't even going to WSM so not sure how that's relevant 😂 but I agree, that's the big battle. But ill say this, I think Martins has a good chance to win the ASC. If Thor was 💯 id be saying the same about him but Martins has excellent events at the Arnold this year. Think he'll beat Tom and the battle there will be between him and Mitch.

It normally frustrates me how ponderously Gav approaches movement events. This is the first time I've seen him really pick the pace up and I was impressed to see him just as fast as Tom for the first few stones. He can go deep in WSM this year and be a podium contender next year at this rate of improvement
I cant see him being on the podium in the next year tbh. Hooper, Tom, Evan, Martins, Mateusz if 💯, Novikov, Trey Mitchell could be back possibly, Pavlo K, Bobby Thompson ect. So many great guys, I just can't see Gav in the top 3 in the next year. I want to see him there, I want to see him win it lmao. But my head tells me something different.
@@Adam-gn5kh Perhaps, I'm just basing it on his rate of improvement given he's not been in the discipline long at all. Tom is elite and Gav was close to him the whole event. 2025 Bilton on current trajectory could be very interesting
@ronanmcw Was he? Tom won 3 out of the 5 events and lost a couple of seconds with that mistake thinking he'd missed the bag on the toss. I think Gav's 2nd place makes it look closer than it was. Didn't personally get the impression Tom felt any pressure tbh and remember, BSM is a national title. You won't see the same Tom here as at WSM. Gav is a beast obviously but in terms of the major shows when the guys peak hard and want to win more than any other show like at WSM. Tom is honestly leagues ahead. As are some of the other guys that I mentioned. Just my opinion ofc, Gav will keep improving I'm sure and looking forward to seeing it. Would love to be proven wrong.
@@ronanmcw Well it looks like Gav was close but in reality that's because the other athletes aren't on Toms level, Gav was the one closest behind. If the top 10 in the world competes against each other they are going to steal points from each other and it will be much harder to get a top score in each event. The winner is often the most consistent one with no bad event. It won't be enough to do 5 out of 6 implements you need to do them all, maybe even on a good time to secure a top 3 in the event.

it's strongman not body building lol he's compared to a lot of competitors
It's mostly a big slab of muscle covered in a moderate layer of fat and It's called a power belly. It's quite common among strongman athletes.
