    Entj is by far the most mistyped in my opinion! So many actual ENTJs typed as something else (usually ESTJs or ESTPs) whilst non entjs get typed as such. They’re very misunderstood. Other than that, brilliant video, loving this content so far :) I’m currently writing a book, and I’m using the 16 personalities to help shape my characters more. Your videos have been very helpful, thank you.

    I think you are so right about Dio.
    Besides his clearly psychopath traits, he is almost certainly an ENTJ, we see more of that ENTJ's traits of him if we think about him before he becomes a vampire, even more when he was only a teenager, and in part 6, when he shows up in flashbacks and the way his plans work and how he executes it (not spoiling, part 6 is still launching, slowly and painfully may I add.)
    Btw I really want to see INFJ, I feel that they are really complicated, and potentially, could be really good villains.

    when it comes to spotting exxjs i mostly concepts from ops like them being so overly self-sacrificial to help others. extjs by their system would actually care about other people's emotions, they'd just go about it by solving other people's problems rather than being a therapist. it's the whole 'stop what you're doing you incompetent fool. i'll do it instead -_-"
    oh forgot to add -
    it doesn't necessarily come from a place of selflessness being an overly good person or anything like that... it's a sort of desire for validation

    Darth vader ... cold hearted, efficient, unrelenting, unforgiving yet loyal and reward "good" work. Strategic and rigorous yet adapt, VERY driven yet at the end still deep, VERY DEEP down a tiny winy in touch with his emotions when push comes to shove => because he pushes down his emotions constantly in the name of his "work" and main drive. The most famous villain in all history yet nobody talk about him ??? Also so easy to find "good" entj characters just dive in grim dark universes like warhammer or witcher there's plenty of them ...

    this is such an amazing video, and very helpful for writing too!! idrk but i did want to mention two characters who i think fit the well written ENTJ kind of well, which are Miya Chinen, from sk8 and Reo from blue lock. In my opinion they feel very human and they are just normal people who strive for efficiency and have an amazing ambition, (even though in blue lock, that is quite common) and are generally very closed about their emotions!!

    I know this was posted 2 years ago but recently as an ENTJ, I encountered probably one of the most accurate depictions of an ENTJ in a Korean TV Series called Pyramid Game. The Protagonist, Suji is smart, ambitious, resourceful but also charming, passionate, and persevering. At the beginning of the show shr could be seen as an immature ENTJ being completely selfish and only wanting to make sure she gets what she wants. But as the show progressed so did her character. She began to appreciate people not as assets but as actual living beings that are unique and deserve love no matter their social class or level of intelligence. Definitely a must-watch! (Especially since the main villain is typed as an INFJ!)

    An issue when it comes to writing this personality type is that the ENTJ personality type has often been historically been linked to dictators like Caesar, Hannibal, Khan, Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, Putin, etc. So when someone wants to make a totalitarian state villain, ENTJ is just the easy default. Which is an honest shame because, while fewer, history has given examples of ENTJ statesmen that weren’t complete tyrants like Churchill.

    What about Tony Soprano? Haven’t finished watching the series nor do I plan to, but I see a lot of sources including PDB typing him as an ENTJ. However, this seems wrong since I don’t really see Ni in him, he seems more like an ESTP or ESTJ, leaning more towards ESTP though.

      One more question: Since you seem pretty adamant that Homelander is not an ENTJ, what would you guess his real personality type is? PDB currently has him typed as an ENFJ, but I’m not sure if that’s right either. However, the comic version is listed as an ESFP on PDB, would you say that’s a more accurate typing for the TV version or do you think he is something else?

    • @MarygotaPlan
      @MarygotaPlan  Před rokem

      @@ianyoung3225 I haven't read the comic but i think it's safe to say that the TV show version of Homelander is not an ESFP. I think it's kind of meaningless trying to type poeple with mental illnesses as I said. In this case i think that it's more useful to look at his Enneagramm which is 3w4 for sure. This is usually an ENTJ associated Enneagramm type. But there's no Te in Homie and he seems to posess little to no Ni with how sporadic his actions are. Maybe he could be typed as a super toxic and self centered ENFJ, i guess that's the best we'll get

    As an ENTJ it has been hard to see all of these psycopaths made to look like ENTJ's. The thing is that they aren't efficient or cunning or even strategic but more so just cruel and unresponsive/unaware to the consequences of their actions. When I or real ENTJs make moves typically the consequence is part of the plan and we understand that. Thank you for making this video I would love to see mroe ENTJ videos since you understand us well.
