Once again, my arms felt a sensation of Fire like with Liquid Flame. The battle was so alive. I cannot wait for the rematch.

always appreciated that despite this being the unwinnable fight, barnabas acts no different mechanically from when you fight him again later. Despite the fact that even if you take down his entire purple health bar he'll still use iron flash the fight is still the same so if the fight is actually hard for you it in a sense a skill issue which makes beating him later all the more satisfying.
Very good point! Especially on a first play through, seeing yourself improve against Barnabas at the Reverie is very satisfying.
Insane man, his fight is crazy enough but to do this with no damage is quite the feat

Is it actually possible to kill him?
No, across multiple attempts by people. They can break Iron Flash’s purple health, but Barnabas will always win.

It's not (not in this encounter at least) but I am curious to see if anyone has done enough damage in the allotted time to completely diminish his entire health bar
