I'm a church drummer myself and I'm 44 years old and been playing for years. I'm telling u man, he's got great skills but most importantly he has an anointing on his life. Glory to the most high God for the talent he's given this young man. I could feel the anointing coming from this guy. Keep it up and never use it for the devil ok?
That's why I always tell young musicians to join a church or school band (especially jazz band) because it teaches you control. You learn that you aren't the star of the stage so you need to fit in with everyone else and show your skills when appropriate. Great video!

I grew up Catholic and one time in college I went to church with one of my black fraternity bros. It was just like this and I will never forget the way I felt connected with our Lord and the people in that church.

So many of the young church drummers videos you see are all about crazy chops and speed. This guy has all that in spades, no doubt, but his playing is so tasteful and musical. In the pocket, not a single wasted note, playing exactly what the song needs.
