Are you gonna review the new Pirate Bay?
If you plan to display this without the base, i recommend you use 4 trans clear bricks underneat just behind the wheels. There is actually a full brick of clearance so the car LOOKS like it's resting on it's wheels.
The reason for this is my personal experience with it. After a month the rear tires started to deform more and more because of the weight of the car.

If your tires are deformed from the weight just squish the inside wheel walls and they'll pop back out
I noticed that too on mine so i put it back on the stand

I bought an extra Joker from the DC Minifigure bags to use the hair piece on this Joker. Looks so good, I have him holding his hat.
It would’ve been really cool if they introduced matte finish LEGO bricks for this set.
They need to bring back some of the more unique bricks. Back in the day they used to even have gold bricks, which I wish they would bring back.
I think the stickers on the back of the headlights are genius!!!!
I may be alone in this but I'd love if they'd do a large scale UCS-quality model of the 1966 TV series Batmobile (built on the 1955 Lincoln Futura).
This set was just the best honestly. Great build and end result. Well worth the price

Love how the technic bricks on the bottom that specially interface with the stand are colored blue to stick out, so simple but so effective
I’ve been a fan of Jack Nicholson for a long time, his Joker is my favourite joker (even more than heath ledger 😂) I wish that Minifigure came in more sets it looks so cool 😔

Despite being mostly black bricks I found this to be a quick build. And saving up most my vip points I ended up paying £20.00 and got four free promos as well. Best deal so far.

I got this Nov. 29 2019 but had to wait until Christmas to open it, but I did get the limited edition minifig scale version with it that I was able to put together right away. The smaller one is awesome as well but this is my favorite set and was the most fun/intriguing built to date. Took me about six and a half hours as well. My second favorite build is Voltron and that thing is pretty massive too and how they all combine is cool.
My favourite build was my deathstar and then I built voltron and now I'm on the newest millennium Falcon and I'm 15 a lot of me getting these sets was saving up a lot of my money

After hearing you gushing over this vehicle in past videos, Jang, I'm sure your viewers have been waiting for your impressions on this.
To me, this has topped everything I've built or bought in terms of LEGO products. I'm surprised you didn't bring up the instructions book, also the info about one designer who also worked on the Tumbler.
For me, not only is the value so incredible judging the franchise, size and pieces... but it does have an emotional value to me because I appreciate the Batman series quite a lot. I do have The Tumbler and it scales with it.
I know there are flaws but I can only appreciate the work they've done making it as sturdy and authentic as possible. I know it doesn't seem perfect but, to me, it is a perfect set. I was the targeted audience, I grew up with the movies featuring this vehicle and it celebrates not only the franchise but it pays homage to the original designers of the movie prop as well as the art director who sadly passed away almost a year after winning the Academy Award for his work on the 1989 movie.
When I placed all the numbered bags on the table for a picture of the packaging, I thought I was in for some trouble and I realized the amount of work firsthand. Shoutouts to the designers because they deserve every single moment of respect and appreciation and, yes, this is quite an expensive... wonderful toy.
I got this a few months ago, the minifigures are phenomenal, some of my favorites from any set. The build process was overwhelming for me personally, but that’s just because I don’t usually but huge sets. I appreciated seeing your opinions and thoughts, after the build I’ve grown very fond of not just the set but the actual movie car itself, you feel like you grow a new appreciation for how much effort both the movie and set designers went through to create this iconic look.

I think it took me around 30 hours to build. I assume each bag is an hour of work, and did 2 bags per day for 2 weeks.
I haven't seen the 89 film, but that didn't stop me from getting this set last month

I have an older UCS-like Batmobile, which I really love as well. You can see it's a bit dated, but it still looks awesome nonetheless. It's set 7784 (from 2006).
I absolutely love this set. By far the biggest set I've ever built. My only gripe with it is the large square flat plate on the canopy. It's a different material to the entire rest of the build that uses a shiny finish, so this bit that has a matte-black finish stands out like a sore thumb. It's even got the injection moulding mark. Apart from that though, it's an amazing build and will look great in the case I have ordered for it!
Your in luck! Lego changed that black injection mold piece and replaced it with 3 2x6 tiles and you can get them from bricks and pieces

Excellent review! I didn't buy it when it was still being produced. 'Kept procrastinating! I bought one recently on ebay for a bit under $400. Lol! Oh well! Looking forward to the build, and will definitely get a light kit for it!

I've been waiting to hear your thoughts since this came out Black Friday 2019. It was such a great project to put together over Christmas and only got it because I have a display case to keep it nice in. 10/10 would recommend!

Jang, I completely agree with your review. This is an outstanding set. One of the most fun and well-designed sets I've worked on in a long time. I really hate myself so I laid out all of those black pieces on a black carpet in a dimly lit room. My only complaint was that there weren't more stickers so I could increase the self loathing (sarcasm). I bought this right after Christmas and it's been sitting around until I got time to build it - in August.

Still couldn’t get over the fact we can’t place the mini figures in the USC size Batmobile and Batwing, however great the build sets are.
I just finished it. It was an awesome buildexperience and the batmobile looks excellent! I'm really impressed by it, cheers Lego designers you did a great job!

I wish I could get this set, but I have no room at all for a car this massive. This is THE definitive Batmobile, although I personally prefer the super stylish art deco Batmobile from the Animated series.

I've been waiting to hear your thoughts on this set! This was honestly one of the most satisfying LEGO builds I've ever done.
I have fought with myself about getting this set since it came out. I really don't have the room anymore for these huge sets and I'm not that big of a Batman fan either but this set is truly amazing. I just can't decide whether to take the plunge and buy it.

What do you think is the hardest set to build? For me it was the technic droideka. The instructions where pretty hard to understand
The bugatti was hardest for me the gear box failed on me 2x had to rebuild

Absolutely amazing build! THIS is one of the best Batmobiles ever made, no doubt! I liked the Tumbler Batmobile we saw in the last Batman trilogy with Christian Bale, but the '89 is and will remain one of my favorites of all time, I saw a real replica years ago at a car show and it's amazing, this is as close to perfection we can have in Lego form, unless it's from a custom build, anyway, totally cool review, Jang!

Was given this as a 50th birthday gift in May. It's a fantastic build had so much fun building it.
The tumbler from batman begins was my first lego build since i was very little. The 1989 batmobile was my second set. It's amazing to see how far lego has come from the basic build back in the early days like 90's to a very near realistic build of the batmobile.
I don’t know whether to to get this or the LEGO T Rex rampage set. Tough decision.
my parents bought this for me for christmas, i love it. it is a truly epic set, i just wish i could have gotten the batmobile that came with the preorder.

This is hands down one of my FAVORITE sets! Got this on release day and I absolutely LOVE IT! I have it in a display with the Tumbler and it’s crazy how big it is. Now I wish Lego would do another UCS set of the Animated Series Batmobile, or one from one of the Arkham games, or even the Most recent Justice League movies. Just give us more UCS BATMOBILES!!!

I really don't understand why they insist on continuing to use the "headband" style head for Batman. A dual molded cowl with different colored eyes would look so much better and allow for an unobscured face.
I don't understand it either. Especially in a set where Batman should look like Michael Keaton.

I am massive Star Wars fan so hope you will find your way back there- I know you didn’t want the UCS millennium Falcon, but would love your views on the new star destroyer. A longer shot, perhaps, but there are no really good reviews of the Indiana Jones sets on CZcams... did you ever pick any of those up? Your are most welcome back- thank you!
My only problem is the 6x6 tile on the top of the canopy has a terrible flat paint look to it, it was so jarring I even called Lego up to say there's a bad paint job on this part that they sent me another one which looks just as bad as the original piece. Besides that issue its the best set i've ever owned!
One issue - the matt black plate on top of the cock pit. Close to ruins almost perfection.

Love this set so much! It was such a fun build with my 6yr old. Can’t have everything but I wish it had a little suspension built into it. Also a feature that included the batmissle would have put it over the top but I’ll let it slide. Just curious, Jang, did you just pick this up for have you had it waiting to be built?
This is a great looking model. I'm not really into superhero movies, but I'm totally into Lego sets like this one.

If this is 1/11th scale, do you think batman action figures will actually fit inside that cockpit? Let's take the SHF Batman for example. That is around 1/12 scale. Cheers!
