A couple of years ago, I had visited Kumar, a trained chef, who had turned his passion for omelets into an interesting enterprise, Egg Factor, where he would dish up gourmet ‘eggy’ creations out of a tiny stall in HSR Layout, South Bengaluru. Soon after the video was released, customers turned up in plenty to support him and it looked like nothing could go wrong. Until he arrived one morning to find his streetside eatery demolished without notice, and to make matters worse, the pandemic followed soon after. Today, Kumar and his wife, Rajalakshmi are once again trying to rebuild their lives and their small omelet business with a borrowed push cart that is parked outside a supportive store. Hope you enjoy this episode. Do try your best to support fledgling businesses like this that are going through tough times. Take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating!
Note: each omelet is made of four eggs and can easily serve two, or perhaps even three people with modest appetites. Please keep this in mind when considering prices here.

People complaining about his pricing. I am one of his old customer used to visit before pandemic and that time also his omelette pricing was 150 starting, yet i used to search for his foodcart. Reason his omelette is worth the charges he is charging. He doesn't compromise on the quality. His one omelette is like a meal. He uses more of exotic vegetables and if you check the price of these vegetables you wouldn't complain about the price. His nonveg seafood charges again is very justified as seafood any restaurant costs minimum 300 above. Rather than complaining about his pricing, i would surely suggest people to go try his omelette once, you will never regret. He is chef who cooks his dishes with interest.
Humanity wins 🙏🏼
Chef kumar is so rude with most of the customers. If you talk in Kannada he give weird reaction and also he serves very late if you talk in Kannada. I believe he doesn't like Kannada speaking customers.
Too expensive
He is selling his base omlet for 200 Rs and still in economical crisis... Then imagine what the street vendors who give omlet for 20 to 30 Rs...
It's unfortunate his shop was demolished!! Love his commitment to his craft!! You visiting him again for support is simply commendable! Hats off Kripal ji!
Ask this gentleman to reduce his weight , otherwise he will lose his health with many health issues like diabetes , heart issues , because health is wealth , there is no doubt these good hearts will recover in their business but their health should be taken care to achieve everything, all the best for the hardworking couple 💑 , thanks to food lovers channel and our kripal sir who is foodly blessed , with his kind heart ❤ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘
Spending 500 and sit on road eating is Big No
Please speak kannada first presence is kananda ?
Pls convey him my message, that start small portions also, becoz people don't want to eat more and pay more, small portion for less money will be good, business friendly also for him
Three cheers to Kumars Xfactor... Thank you Kripal for sharing this story too.
Kripal just finished an interview with the Minister of External Affairs Jaishankar.
OMG we were searching for him for so long, we used to go back to where his cart used to be but could never find him. I am so glad I found him, thank you food lover. His omlette was really good
Thanks to bangalore rice tradors for helping this hero. As many super market people won’t allow small merchants to do business in front of shops. I really appreciate your help.
To all asking to decrease price and the quantity et. al. Guys, this is what he wants in the menu nothing more , nothing less and has priced accordingly. For a city that loves travelling 40/50 km in the morning to have biryani/pulav... i am sure he will find his niche clientele. Cheers!!
I salute and appreciate the strong willpower of the Proprietor and his wife for again starting from scratch. I also appreciate Kripal ji for doing direct/indirect social work by visiting the Egg corner and promoting it by giving the viewers detailed descriptions about the various variety of Omelettes. Thanks to the shop owner Bangalore rice store also who keep the rawstock in his shop Thank you Kripal ji and team. 😊🙏🙏
Food Lovers is not just a "Namesake", it does support food lovers!, You made the day for everyone who saw this video for sure !!
All I could see along with his fighting spirit, is his pain in his face after loosing his restaurant space and serving the 5* products on the road side. And the amazing thing is that he seems like an artist who cares for his art.
Kudos to this couple's resilient spirit and the rice shop owners for extending their support. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Can't be wrong when you get back to basics. He will do well. Congratulations for promoting him ....... again
