Wow mr Sealy P. great map tour you stopped outside the grain silos on the road and it reminded me of Holland landing on the 400 hwy to Barrie Ontario , Can. As you say Brilliant. ( my gramps was English he is from Durham county also an old farmer) Funny story he immigrated Before the war. and to get here he and my uncle worked for money doing a potato field they only picked in from each end and left the middle. Not sure if uncle Taylor got in trouble . but gramps was here by then. Can't wait for a Canadian map . Keep up the good work following the western wilds and loving it. !

It's a great map, but for me it's still missing that "X" factor feel that the original map had... Some placeabls do look like it's just been dropped in to fill space and the machine shop is the generic one from base maps and not the CASE dealer ship like on 19,

Finally a great map again ! I'm not a modder and I think they're doing a great job. But there are a lot of maps out there that just don't meet the standards of fFS22. This one definitely does. 👍🏻

I grew up in south central Illinois and I can personally say this newer version of the map is definitely more accurate to farmlands in Illinois. Didn't get the chance to download yesterday but definitely booting it up later today.
Excellent map tour. Nice map. I've been having trouble lately finding a map that really just stands out, you know, one of those maps that you are super excited to play on. This one is nice but still doesn't wow me. Hopefully, something comes out soon. That's why he is THE BEST! Like you said, no one does tours and reviews like MrSealyP. That's why I only watch his tours and reviews. Plus he's on console, so everything he's doing I can do as well, whereas most others are on PC and often do things that only PC players can do.
I feel the exact same way you do. I was playing on Haut Beyleron and loving the game but was looking for a new map for a fresh start and there wasn't any really standing out to me. FS22 is the first time I've played the game so I'm not familiar with other maps from previous games.
For some reason Goldcrest Valley 22 caught my attention so I decided to try it and I have to say I love it. Not sure what it is but I think it's a awesome map and didn't realize that it was the base map from FS17 until I was already at least 50 hours into it. I can say that even though my previous game is set up pretty nice and not finished, I won't be going back to it any time soon. Lol
I don't know how many versions you've played previous but if this is your first one or you never played '17 or this map, maybe give it a try, it might do the same thing for you. Who knows.
If you are familiar with the map, well then, disregard the comment and have a good one. Lol
PS/ Just in case so you know, there are 2 versions of it on Modhub and apparently the "official" one is the one that has '22 after it.
@@Adam-tp6ch I started out. On FS17, but it was on my tablet and the graphics were laughable. I didn't get to FS19 until after I had an Xbox1, and I started playing about a year ago. FS22 was the very first (and ONLY) game I've ever pre-ordered and paid full price for. I'll never do that again, I'll wait until it's affordable, cuz by then all the kinks are mostly worked out.
But yes, I almost always give a nap at least a couple hours of my attention before I write it off. And there's been a number of them. One thing I have noticed in regards to FS22 vs FS19 is that now I now prefer the smaller maps with smaller fields. Not sure why, but that's where I'm at.
Stone Valley is [so far] proving to be a fairly challenging map, and the AI works if you all but micro-manage them.
All in good fun though right?
@@TheBiggRiggz Goldcrest Valley '22 is pretty much smaller maps with a couple bigger ones mixed in, but I guess if you started on '17 then you're probably familiar with this map. I think it's great compared to pretty much anything else available for console. Lol

I play on Xbox series x and there is no icons showing where anything is even on starting farm I understand you have to buy plots but why do I have to buy the store for the icons to come up

As always, great review!! Have you noticed an issue with contracts since the last update? Contracts are few and far between? I used to be able to contract away un between harvests, but now I only get a couple contracts when I first go into a saved game and they disappear within seconds, with no new contacts coming up.
I'm having this issue, but didn't know it was an issue! Rather annoying tbh
Yea I've noticed that too. It's frustrating when you are starting from scratch and need them to earn money
Since the last update all the fields that are ready to Harvest like Wheat, Barley Canola and Oats etc… All turn purple Harvested within 1, 2 mins of a new game save!
Yea, I have noticed that as well Greg, I took on 2 contract's out of about 10, did them & went back to do a couple more & they were all gone 😠
Looks like a nice map. I do however see a lot of buildings/assets from the base game during the map tour (sell points, fuel station, bridges, etc). Guess that's why the download size is relatively small for such a detailed map. Still an amazing map with some interesting features an great landscaping. Too bad I don't have time to play on all of them.

This is the only map tour worth watching 👀 with all do respect to other creators this is done with passion while others do it as chore for views one almost made me fall asleep with his voice thanks mrp
Not sure if someone has mentioned or not, but when you feed the cows, they come over to the building. So they walk all over the cow area... as a farmer from the Mid-West (about 400 miles from Illinois), this is the most accurate US map ever made for consoles.
Nice review, but I’ll wait for an update like I always do with lancyboi maps.

All that I want is a 4X American map with BIG fields and Stone Valley on FS19 was perfect. Shrinking the map and putting rivers all through it broke my heart. Not one big map with big flat fields yet for FS 22.
What about the Green Valley Nebraska map. Those fields look pretty big and the map is 4K with the added bonuses of name brand stores built in. I'd love to play that map, but it's PC only and I'm playing on the Series X.
that being said my Series X runs this game no problem and I believe it could run a 4K map. I find it kind of stupid we can't have them on console.

Wow. I wasn’t expecting the download size to be that small. Too bad it’s missing from the mod hub this morning. Maybe by the time it’s back, Giants will fix the contracts that they broke with the last update. Not holding my breath, though.
I was disappointed to know there is no bga plant however because its such a huge map theres is plenty i mean PLENTY of room to get creative with my bga plant operations that was a wonderful tour mr sealy p 😀

in reality those grass line patches are for water drainage especially in undulated fields some of us north American players prefer the realism and emersion I see fields like that all around me but to each there own
@@drun420s4 you have a valid point tbh. Its better but not perfect and not stone valley as we know it. Realism I love, but I don't like stips through my fields. Use drainage tiles like most do in USA and Canada.

He did an amazing job. He cleaned up the map edges. It does feel like a completely new map in many ways. I’m interested to see where the flooding aspect of the game can go in the future. Damage crops maybe?
I live in BC Canada where it pretty much rains 7 months of the year. As cool as it sounds or might be that your crops can flood, it's absolutely the last thing I would be interested in any game I play.
I friggin hate the rain and do not need it in my game. Lol

Any time I buy a planter depending on the size on this map it either goes through the building when it appears and then you cannot move it or when you fill up the planter it doesn’t register that the planter has been filled however the planter will gain weight and go into the ground.
Is there manure at the cow farm?

Just started playing the map and I have just one question.
Can the grass strips in field 6 be plowed under or are they there for a reason?
you can plow them under but in reality they are used for water drainage
I’ve had issues with the plowing a few fields… It’s won’t let me Plow the Field! In the very Short time I’ve been playing! That and every Field that is ready to Harvest turns Purple within mins of starting a new game save! I hope 🤞 that gets fixed!
That's a issue on every map now, not just this one. Giants needs to get it fixed. If people are saying they don't have the problem then maybe it's just a console thing and they're on PC or something, but as someone who pretty much does every contract I can guarantee it's happening at least on the Series X. (Xbox)
This video is actually the most times I've seen that problem mentioned, which is good. The more people that become aware of it should get Giants attention faster and maybe get it fixed faster.
I've went from having a full page of contracts in the busy months to basically 1 or 2 now and you're lucky if those don't vanish right away.
Buying the pig area also gives you field 31.
I bet you're starting to wish there were more than 7 days in a week, all these old favourites popping up. ;)

Love this map because the fields are the right size for true Midwest farming. They are however missing ethanol and you have to download a mod to make it possible. Sadly on console there are no mods to help deal with the byproducts so your just kind of stuck with them. Ethanol and a corn or soybean processing plants are huge in the Midwest and should be a standard part of Midwest FS game play. Overall though they did a fantastic job with this one.

One thing I have discovered is that contract crops can be damaged!! Bout time..
I was getting ready to start the map when I noticed the contracts were disappearing quite rapidly. All were gone in minutes. Hoping for an update soon.
I haven't had that problem. But as soon as I start any new map I make it 3 day months. So that could have something to do with it
It's not just this map, it's pretty much every map and a Giants problem. I've been bitching about it for a few days now. It's annoying as hell and I'm getting to the point where I might take a break till they fix it, or at least acknowledge they know it's a problem.
I do pretty much every contract on the map to keep busy so I definitely notice it happening. Not only do they vanish right away, there's no where even close as many as usual that show up now.
So got a very interesting 🧐 problem with this map, I always start new maps in farm manager mode which normally you don’t own any land are equipment, but when I loaded the map I started with 1.5 mil. had all the new farmer equipment a sleep trigger, a silo with 43,000 liters of wheat 🌾 and no owned land. I also had a Massey Ferguson that was not in my leased or owned equipment. All have the equipment was in the same location it would be in when starting in New Farmer mode i.e. in the middle of the field like the harvester but instead of wheat the harvester was surrounded by potatoes 🥔 and I couldn’t harvest them because I didn’t own the land. I’m sure this is something that needs to be fixed but it’s a nice mess up for sure!!!!
great map tour as usual, just never understood why all these great map makers leave out the pedestrian traffic, must be a ghost town. Maybe it's just me but I think adding people to a map adds more realism. But this is a great map.
I found pedestrian traffic closer to the shop. There's like a housing area and they're in there walking around.

I have just noticed that on this map at map coordinates 87.0, 883,833 there is something in the field that tractor bounces over and implants like cultivators and such are getting stuck. It is not a collectable. If you could plz report this be greatly appreciated!
Same her (PS5), tried to mulch it (in case it was an invisable treestump) and to lanscape it, but no result.
if you drive a tractor over it a wheelmark apears that seems to float a foot above the ground.
I found two issues on the main farm. I deleted all but one shed on the main farm to rebuild it to allow for more room and storage for large equipment to use in the large fields. When I smoothed out and leveled the farm site, there are two spots where there are mounds that won’t flatten. The cattle farm needs a complete rework. You can’t see the fence for all the bushes and there’s no rhyme or reason for the fencing as the cattle roam through the farm area. It’s cluttered and looks like a complete mess. There’s isn’t any room for any large equipment and there’s no where to put it. I wish Lancy would’ve added extra grass textures, like the creator of Frankenmuth, so you could match the grass when cleaning up the farm and fence lines. Instead you have to use the base game grass/weeds that don’t match what he’s put in game. Visually it’s an improvement of the FS19 version, but the farm areas need a complete redo. All in all this map isn’t all bad, but at the end of the day it’s kinda meh.
Amen. I hate when map makers put shit on the map you can't get rid of, and I really don't like when they preplace animals. I want to put everything where I want it and that's why I always start on farm manager mode.
Amen once again for the ground textures and plants/trees etc. I don't know why or wish they would just add every single one available regardless if they use them or not. It's not like it's any skin off their ass. Lol
I wish map authors would at least add all the textures and ground plants in Giants Editor to each map.

How do you delete multiple mods at once on ps5. Why is this not a feature. They don't even delete when you delete the data. What a pain.
Does anyone know what mods are required for the FS22 Stone Valley map for console (xbox)? I have looked everywhere and cant find them. I get a message "Some mods have missing dependencies" when trying to install SV onto my server. This is the only mod I am installing so it has to be the issue.

One problem I have with this map is the starting equipment. I remember the starting equipment for this map in FS19 was appropriate sized for the starting field. This FS22 the equipment is suitable for a small or small/medium field map I feel like a new player to FS22 that is just starting out with modded is going to be very discouraged with this map and immediately quit it because of this. This was a bit of a trend that started in FS19 with not caring much about the starter equipment and it has gotten a lot worse in FS22. I won't be surprised if a map comes out with New Farmer mode as a start from scratch. Not all of us want that and we don't want to "cheat" in a tonne of money just to get something started.
I've already gotten rid of two things and replaced them. Since I finished the harvest the next thing to go is the harvester. The equipment is much too small for the size of fields. Now I will say medium size tractors wouldn't hurt but the tools should be bigger

@@Driver_1227 I agree completely the seeder and cultivator are ridiculously small for any field on the map. a medium sized Harvester would be appropriate. It doesn't have to be some monster and at least a 9m cultivator/seeder. Which would likely require a large tractor. Cut the number of tractors to two make one of them large and another a medium. I think would be productive for a starter setup.
@@smoke143330 Yeah exactly, I play both PC and console and it's just not that easy to do on console. To ask a new player to learn how to cheat in money on console is too much. I've noticed this inappropriate equipment has become a much bigger issue in FS22 than it was in FS19.

Gorgeous map. I changed the alfalfa textures, changed the animal feeding and added anhydrous and dry corn for me personally. I’m going to spend dozen of hours on this map. 🎊🎊🎊

I’ve played a few hours on it, I was t able to get the trailer lowered. I also wasn’t able to feed the chickens. Don’t how much I want to get involved in the map because there will be an update and will that require a new save game?
Put some wheat from the silo into the trailer then dump it, and the trailer will lower.
@@Blackmere65 I did put wheat into the trailer because I figured I would feed the chickens but that did work either so I just ended up putting back into the silo and selling the trailer.
@@johnmcenaney1814 Strange it worked for me, I added wheat from the silo, then overloaded it back into the silo, and the trailer was lowered when it finished overloading. Sorry, thought it would work for you also.

Great review! What I don't like in FS22 is copying sell points, grain mills, and houses from the base game. It's cheap and dirty way of map making. I am speaking generally, Other modders are doing this. This looks like a nice map but having harvesters having a field already partly harvested or planted is gimmicky!
It's a story line. You don't have to play the map, or any of FS22 really. And as I tell my boys when they complain about trivial stuff such as this: if it's not good enough, go make one better.

They are not working at all like they're supposed to. Hardly any show up and the few that do almost immediately vanish within seconds. They really need to fix this shit fast because as someone who does every contract so I have something to do, I'm pretty much done with the game for now because of it.
