@kazzie Trims do affect hair length. Trims are important because the artist will cut all of your split ends so that they don't split upwards and damage the whole strand. Are you a hairstylist? lol if you are you need to lose your license
@@italliamaestri9611 it doesn't help hair growth just because it gets rid of split ends doesn't mean it will help. Because when you trim your hair it gets shorter and shorter every time you trim it. If you have split ends you are better off using a leave in conditioner. Where is your license?

Trims don’t technically make your hair grow faster.
It just gets rid of the split ends and breakage, so it’ll seem like your hair is growing faster, since you’re no longer losing length due to breakage. It doesn’t actually affect hair growth speeds, unfortunately. 🙁
My hair was 14 inches, but then I wanted to cut it into a pixie cut, for a while I really liked it, but now I'm kinda wishing I didn't cut it so short, so this was really helpful, and I'm glad I was able to find something like this.

Same. Mine was about 20". I got it cut shorter than Pink's! Shaved in back and sides...took 2 looks to see my mother's face, and it HAD to go. Been about 2 cuts (just shaping) since the super short cut, and it is growing out beautifully. I had a pixie about 10 years ago and was the WORST GROWOUT in History, I am sure. God what she did to my hair-she was razoring it!!! Awful. Anyway, your cuts will grow out so fast, if you don't look in the mirror at it ALL THE TIME! That is a pro-tip right there. Step AWAY from reflective surfaces...
I really appreciate you sharing these tips. I cut my hair 2 years ago and donated it to a group of amazing ladies in California that make hair PIECES for cancer patients and survivors. So I do not regret cutting my hair, but I have now made it my mission to grow my hair out so that I can donate my hair again. Your tips are super helpful for this super awkward journey of growing out my hair!! Thank you!!

Trims don't help ur hair grow faster but if ur ends are damaged it cuts the dead ends off so it's not constantly staying at the same length because it keeps snapping off.
Zoe Small this^^ plus your probably better to take care of yourself drink more water certain veggies and stuff are full of vitamins that help hair skin and nails I'm not sure if the multivitamins help but more of this will help I find trims just help me cope with the awkward stages because they neaten it up.
Samantha Hopkins, yes veggies and water will help with the goodness in them, and multivitamins will help but only if taken consistently. I do trim my hair as growing layers out , it does look better with the awkward stages of growth.
Zoe Small trimming your hair does help it grow, faster and healthier. You don’t get it cut u just get the split ends trimmed. If u have split ends it takes longer for ur hair to grow. There are legit studies that prove all if this.

Maria Mariel listen to me when I say I have the chubbiest of cheeks and I dress like a boy I thought my pixie cut would make me look like a chubby dude but it actually made me look and feel more beautiful and feminine. So give it a try if you think you would like having a pixie cut

If I'm being 100% honest, there is a good chance you'll regret it. I regret mine as It makes me feel so much less feminine. But it's a chance you should take, you might really really end up liking it

I just recently cut all my hair up due to bleaching it 😢 I had beautiful long black hair & Distroyed it!! Now it's just above my shoulders but my lovely black hair is really starting grow back. I used to have really long hair 2 years and 1 month ago until I cut it to a bob.
Then I grew my hair to where it is up to now.
In just 1 year my hair was getting closer to waist length.
Now it's getting closer to my Butt crack
December 2nd 2016:
Bob hair cut ( I had hip length hair then I cut it to a bob)
February 2017:
My hair is nearing my armpits
June 2017:
My hair is now mid back length
September - December 2017:
It's getting closer to my waist (lower back length)

Try putting some nice smelling baby powder on the towel that you dry your hair with. The more you wash it the more oils are stripped then your hair tries to compensate by produsing more oil.

I think it is fun to experience having a new hairdo and now that I have short hair, lots of ppl always assume I'm younger than my actual age lol! But I also missed my long hair! I like wearing caps, and I look like a little boy now when I wear them :p So I'm currently growing out my hair, and this vid is really informative and helpful. That's weird... Very lucky you then. Because the average rate or speed of hair growth is about 1.25 centimetres or 0.5 inches per month, so that's only about 15 centimetres or 6 inches per year. When starting with a pixie, it's first all about levelling up the front with the back, to get a short bob, this takes quite long depending on how short your pixie was on the sides and front. The first year is the most awkward when growing it out, certainly when you want to keep it need in the meantime, not looking like some hobo (mullet = no go).

I have naturally oily hair like no matter what trick I found it still look like I struck oil...and also I tried but honestly all I did was stop blow drying my hair everyday let it air dry everyday and now my hair laying off my shoulders now (: my cousin who is a professional hairstylist was impressed with how my hair grew healthy and no mullet phase :D

Your hair is beautiful both pixie and long! The tip of having a good hairstylist to walk you through the mullet phase is a great tip!! No matter how many times I have told stylists that I am growing my hair out and just want the mullet gone, I always walk out right where I started...short pixie...because they all cut too much or too high and don't just focus on cutting the MULLLET! 😳
I have had a pixie for the last 4yrs, other than the one time I grew it back out. I cut it again last year around this time, then I let it grow out into a bob, then I shaved the side of my head, AND THEENNNNN I grew out the side cut and got a pixie. SOOO I am just trying to grow my hair long again lol.

She says that heat products slow the growth process? I'm a hairdresser and that's is definitely not true. It's the heat TOOLS that hurt you. You NEED heat products because if you don't then of course it'll break and damage your hair. Also trims WILL help! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get your hair trimmed. When hair is damaged or "splitting" it can split all the way up to the root and break off. Getting those ends cut off will help the hair not split and not break off - thus allowing it to grow

Omg same! I got a lixie cut and I dyed my hair sooo much and still do
in october 2013 i got a bob hair cut, it was at my chin. not long after i decided to grow it out. i stopped washing it as often (twice a week), not coloring it as much, and only coloring it darker when i do, deep conditioning once a week, and an oil after the shower and daily on the ends. started paying attention to the ingredients on my shampoo and wont use anything with sulfates. and rarely use heat on my hair. it has been almost 3 years since i got my hair cut, i havent even gotten a trim, and its grown out to the middle of my back
I had to wash my hair every day for almost 2 months and that like ruined my hair so I have to wash it every other day because I'm blonde so it shows up so much if my hair is greasy but I want to grow out my hair. Oil also just makes my hair look greasy so are there any other tips you recommend?
Kira Peterson you can train your hair to not get oily as fast if you just go as long as you can without washing it.
Try dry shampoo!

i completely agree with you on the no hair washing method......i learned this by accident lol - i had the miley cut 2x and the last time i fried my hair coloring it - used coconut oil in it then washin 1x week for weeks and my hair GREWWWWW =] now i always use this method lol. THANKS JACK JACK
