it was never the flames that gave one pressure, it was that infamous claw attack.
Also i’d say as someone who picked up the series as a young kid, i can say it was far more pressure as a kid than revisiting it after growing up.

Actually I think I played it when I was older. Mid teen years maybe? The entire boss wasn't entirely too pressuring. Only gorl in the first Patapon still gives me that same rush. Just the song alone is enough to still give me the same rush.

everyone talkin about "gorl theme" but i just gotta mention that this theme slaps during the Ormen Karmen battle.
you see desperation and ruin in the hero's memories, scenes of death and chaos after his mistake which broke the world. And floating through it all is Ormen Karmen, taunting you all the while and throwing every ounce of what he's got at you, whether it be his freezing fists or a hammer to end all hammers.

I know a few pieces of lore from Goruru.
Gorl. Seen as the devil in patapon 1
He made a deal with the zigoton queen Kharma. Which ended up sacrifing zigoton lifes in order to stop the patapons, yet failed. Goruru showed up at the end of the journey to kill the Almighty's army, yet was killed by it instead. Later is revealed that the same as other demons, they are just servants to a greater force. The dark lord, king of the dark ones (the purple eyed scorpion beings called akumapons by the fandom).
If Queen Kharma made a deal with Garuru instead, the patapons in the first game would had died. Garuru has an attack in second form that can only be dodged with Don Chaka (the jump song), which wasn't present in the first game.

The music is well, BUT THAT DEMON DRAGON THING IS SO UGLY- even in any phase, but i hope i meet this bossfight so i can hear the music while getting to do it.
