For his belligerent, brutal role as Marshal of the Soviet Union Lavrentiy Beria in The Death of Stalin, Simon Russell Beale won Best Supporting Actor at #BIFA2017, accepting the award from his friend Hayley Atwell. Russell Beale thanked both writer/director Armando Iannucci and his co-star and fellow nominee Steve Buscemi.
