Yes totally agree, that was something rubbing compound on a microfiber cloth could have Easily taken out/off.
Exactly
Yep if your nail catches it, you aint fixing it with polish lol
A deep scratch does not vanish in 5 sec.
Uhhh... Yes it can. I've done it MANY times since I first saw Yvan demonstrate the technique about 2 or 3 years ago.

@@diydetailofficial then it's not a deep scratch.
@@stephenmiljkovic5584It is a deep scratch in terms of polishing. Deep is subjective. People have no common sense.
How deep is too deep?
@@diydetailofficialyour an idiot
I'm a professional detailer and I can tell you...that is NOT a deep scratch. You CANNOT fix a "deep" scratch that has gone beyond the clearcoat into the base coatby buffing. Only scratches within the clearcoat and not compromising the base coat can be buffed out.
We have a podcast addressing this actually it’s got “5-5-5 “ in the title
And if you were a professional detailer you'd know that the clear coat is the thickest coat, so a scratch that almost goes through the clear coat is still a pretty deep scratch.
That looks a paint stain on black, if it was a scratch, it would have reached primer which is hard to remove by polishing. I do body detailing as well
Half scratch was left. Bit unprofessional video and upload. If there is no paint you can not polish it out because there is no 🎨 paint
I love how all yous call yourselves “professional” detailers. Like you all compete in the xgames for gold medals! @@iglopez63D the 5-5-5 method here is taking the polish and pad. With a heavier scratch you set the machine to speed 5, for 5 seconds and apply 5 pounds of pressure.
