this seems to be a very bad movie. and good of you to point out errors. i have not seen the movie. ridiculous shots of older bonaparte landing a cavalry charge make me not watch it. though he bravely led infantry charges in to fire in italy when young fighting for republic . also allied soldiers did drown and die in water while fleeing battle of austerlitz in the southern section of the battle. where there was a river and and a small lake, fleeing soldiers got stuck in a bottleneck near a water mill and under pressure from cannon fire some tried to run across frozen ice. . but it happened when battle was clearly lost.
This whole movie is a mistake.
It's sad how ridley had 1 chance to make a historic epic to get so much wrong that's historically documented
