The FUTURE of Handheld Gaming?

- Is the Logitech G Cloud worth it? I think so! The G Cloud is a fully functional Android Tablet. Meaning it’s a multimedia device capable of watching movies, playing games natively, reading comics, emulation, and more! However, it’s also perfect for streaming Xcloud and Nvidia GeForce Now. Here’s my Logitech G Cloud review!

There's a reason emulators exist bro
I wish -people- companies would stop pushing cloud gaming, until we get 10 gigabit WiFi or something I couldn't care less about cloud games
Multi-gig fiber has been available in a lot of cities for a while. I have just 1 gigabit over fiber to a suburban area and cloud gaming works fine despite being pretty far from the datacenter. I can even play on the go using 5G data. There's definitely a market for this kind of thing.
@@dk4637 not everyone has the money for it

I’m just gonna be honest with you guys but I bought the steam deck and it is without a doubt the greatest thing I have ever bought. It runs pc games so well man, the fact you can play Spider-Man and GTA V on the go is something I wanted to do for a while. Battery life sucks but that is definitely expected since you are running pc triple a games on the go. It’s $50 more than the Logitech g cloud and switch oled but it’s worth the price
This has to be a paid ad

Or you can get a steam deck for 50 bucks more and it runs windows and windows easier to emulate up to ps2 games
It runs SteamOS actually and can emulate up to PS3 and even Switch
you dont own a steam deck do you?
It runs windows worse than g cloud
If my old office pc can emulate ps2 at 60fps, the steam deck could do ps4 at 30fpsy

NDS still a banger too
You just named 6 devices that are more expensive with smaller screens and way smasher batteries that can play way fewer games. Were you trying to be ironic?
@DragonBourne not 6 devices that can play less, the steam deck can play all of these and more
@@DragonBourne He just named all 6 that are way better than this logicrap device 😊
Ah yes, a handheld console that streams games
it's not a streaming console its an emulation handheld its just being advertised as a streaming handheld
@@matejamicic3037Its definitely a streaming handhelf considered it was made for game pass and geforce now....
@@anthonyhca i mean it is but emulation is good for it,it can emulate ps2 pretty well
@@matejamicic3037 no, it dont, few games can be emulated and those only on 1X resolution with slowdowns, 1x is far below the native resolution of this device
So it's just a smartphone with a working controller buttons.
You can spent 50 more dollars for a steam deck that can do all that with performance
no you cant, a steam deck is at least 200$ more
This dude really trying to make a cloud streaming device sound appealing. Why get this when you could get a Steam Deck for $50 more, that does everything the G Cloud can and more? Sure, Steam Deck can do cloud gaming, but it can also run full PC games on the device itself.
Because the deck has a lower resolution screen, is heavier, and has 1/4 the battery life while also costing more? Lol
@legacysquid0625 The point is that it is inferior in every way. It's like trying to run a phone with a diesel engine instead of a lithium battery. Old. Antiquated. Backwards. Unwieldy. Inelegant. Inefficient. It makes no sense for anyone outside of the developing world. You only need a horse and buggy if you can't get gasoline. You only need a telephone jack if you don't have a cellular network. You only need to play games locally if you don't have Internet. I do, so why would I buy something with a small, blurry screen, no battery life, and that weighs a ton when I can get something significantly better for significantly less? That's the point.
@DragonBourne but it isn't significantly better if it's only streaming, you may aswell do that on your phone with a backbone and it will be 100x better
@boom5732 Except, as I stated above, it has a 7 inch 16:9 1080p display, 12-14 hour battery life, a full sized controller that is very comfortably integrated, is very lite, and significantly cheaper. Therefore, so long as you have the internet, it is vastly superior. Not even a competition. As for the phone, no one who has tried it would bother arguing for it due to bad aspect ratio/small screen size, comfortable grip, and battery consumption, not to mention tieing your phone up while playing. Again, not even a competition.
@@DragonBourne lay off the drugs. OLED says hi and is way better than this garbage that needs WiFi to play 😊 not even a competition.
Nice try tho son
Me: *gets cheap android tablet and bt handheld extension.* Logitech: *damn it*
The problem is it's a cloud console, so if you don't have any internet access, have a bad internet setup at home, have data caps, or want to take it somewhere where you might not have data or wifi, then it's basically just an android tablet with buttons.
You're also tied into those same cloud services, which isn't great.
Seeing as the entire reason for portable gaming is being able to play in different places, I don't see why you'd buy one over a Steam Deck or a Switch, unless having a higher resolution screen is THAT important.
Yea and the deck can even run 1080p in portable mode with some tweaks
you aren't tied you can install other services from the play store
If high res is that important, literally just use your Phone and a controller that you can click your phone into (so it looks like this device, buttons on left and right of the phone). Way better battery, way higher res, 120hz, actually has performance and can do anything the G Cloud can do, just way better.
@@aytt565Wdym? The screen running at 1080p? I don’t think that’s possible…
@@dinervc9582 I think he meant downsampling from 1080p.
Me with all systems “i dont need it…i neeeeed it
Unlike the switch, you'd to need to be connected to the WiFi just to play your games
I had one of the older models and its cool at first but if your wifi isn't good you can barely play in the next room
bro at this point I might as well buy a phone instead
Who's gonna tell him that everyone got a phone nowadays
I costs the same as a Switch OLED. At least that has some decent games. The Steam Deck is only $50 more and has more comfortable controls, access to native steam gaming, and can do anything a PC can.
in my mind "oh well it's cheap android tablet can run well only cloud gaming, it'll costs bout 80-100$" 350 💀
350?! 😂
you still have the screen on from opening it lol pull the blue tab off
It's as expensive as my phone wich can do these things way better.
Forgot to mention it's nearly as expensive as a steamdeck and has pretty much no specs better than a work laptop
And for a grand total of $50 more you can get the same experience, as well as being able to emulate up to ps3, and play triple a games natively without cloud gaming services.
Not even if you get the refurbished version of steam Deck it's $320
Add a 50$ to that and you can run Forza Horion 5 natively on the steam deck.
At 720p for like 2 hours.
Connect your g cloud to your Xbox and play it at 1080p for 14 hours. Lol
@@DragonBourne You'd have lags and besides you'd need internet to play even geometry dash that way lol.
@Bababooyii Bro, where do you go that doesn't have internet? I literally just got done paying re4 on my lunch break at work from my Xbox at home with 0 lag. I do it every day. My work's internet is nothing special. I can even do it off my cellphone hotspot.
@@DragonBourne okay, but you still need an xbox for it work. Not everyone has that.
@@DragonBourne Beside did you forget how Xbox one failed in the beginning because of needing internet every single time?
Man, I forgot about the Nvidia Shield. Kinda want the design to be back especially with joystick implementation, the clamshell design, and the overall comfort that it has
At that point, you might as well just get a smaller tablet with one of those game pads if you’re just gonna play Google games and emulators on it
Coming to a bargain basket near you...
Expensive handled $400-$700 is hard to sales in Asia-Pacific
Pov: people forget emulation exists
I run daijisho on mine, bruh. It natively runs up to psp, and is one click away from parsecing into my pc to emulate up to ps3.
The steam deck is 399$, is there any reason to pay 50$ less for a device that's the specs worse than the current gen phone ?
It's a better device? Better screen, better battery, better operating system, better ergonomics? And it's cheaper? People seething about this thing are like the people seething about unleaded gasoline in the 70s. Lol

IM BECOMING A PIRATE TODAY OI MATEY
Just because you emulate something doesn't mean you're a pirate. I have an outstanding vintage video game collection but I don't own any original Hardware, I emulate the games legally because I actually own them.
I love these handhelds! I can play games, movies, social medias, and call my trades from it. Perfect
It looks cool. It'd need to be very powerful and have a pretty good interface to compete with any android device + a controller, specially for that price.
It doesn’t have much of any power at all since it uses cloud gaming/remote play. It *is* good at doing that, though.
@@stefdezy1562 Well no, it has actual hardware you can use for native Android gaming and emulation, but even that isn't very good.
@@R3AL-AIM yeah, that’s kinda what I meant, thanks for clarifying. It has no real power for AAA gaming***. It’s as powerful as a smartphone 🤣

You can literally get a refurbished steamdeck for 320
It's a fake of a fake
Wtf am I gonna do when I have a phone that can do streaming and music? Huh? What's that? not waste $400?
Awesome.
Bro if you have the latest Android phone it can literally do the same
350 for a android cloud device? Seems incredibly pointless to me. You could just get any tablet or phone and connect up any Bluetooth controller and have practically the same experience. Or you could just get a steam deck for $50 dollors more to run all your games natively
Mom: son WE DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BUY THAT
Calling feature make it perfect
*disclaimer* u don't specifically need a Logitech g cloud u can get any android based gaming handheld i use a retroid pocket flip and its great
Honestly, cloud gaming has gotten really good over the last couple of years, but god damn just get a steam deck, especially since you can stream games from your pc with it anyways 😂
This thing is truly greater than the sum of its parts. I bought mine about a year and a half ago and it's the only way I ever play anything. My Xbox isn't even hooked to a TV. I just have it next to my router.
My Smartphone does the same things and more with some extra controllers
Dude with all due respect, please don't call an overpriced midrange Android tablet with controllers slapped to its sides the "future of handheld gaming"....
Take that 350 and add 100 to it and buy a steam deck, if you already have any mid to high tier smartphone this is a complete waste of money
If it was priced at $120 max then it would be something I would look at buying. But $350 is a joke for a cloud only device.
No Wi-Fi, No Internet 🛜, Services unavailable/ No Longer available...
$350.00 Plastic Brick....
The steam deck literally dominates this thing 💀
OMG WHY DOES IT COST SO MUCH!!!! It should be $120
Love that you watched rush hour on that
Switch Lite's only 199 btw
FYI it is cloud based and you will need constant internet connection
If it had windows I’d buy it
Cloud gaming is cursed and it should remain as such. Stop trying to make this corporate malfeasance happen.
cursed how?
The biggest issue with these Switch Copy consoles is the Switch Joycons because Controllers wear out and it’s cheaper to replace the controllers. Having them attached is what literally killed the PSP.
Cool, just think the right analog stick is placed pretty awkwardly.
Only 1 thing missing calling feature
Just a reminder guys this is marketed towards a different market than what we’re probably all in
When this drops to 100 it’ll be well worth it
Got mine this week. Playing GTA vice city and Sam Andreas and both run like a DREAM. Also got a PSP emulator which gives me access to ANY psp game EVER for free with no wi-fi!! People who don’t rate this device just have no idea what they’re looking for
you got scammed you can use your own phone for this and use and 15 dollar cheap controller and you will habe the same experience and maybe better
@@shadowkiller9009 I also play old school football manager and football manager 2024, watch and download movies/series on a much larger and clearer screen than any phoneI travel a lot on trains a planes and need my phone battery to last so this thing is absolutely perfect for me and I haven’t looked back.
Also I wouldn’t want to carry around an Xbox controller 24/7 and have to Bluetooth it to my phone and waste more battery life.. to me a phone is a phone, not a gaming device.
I really hope they improve the device with the next iteration instead of just shelving it. It’s a cool concept and we need more competition in the market. Although they definitely needs to drop in price for being a glorified tablet.
Bro this cost more than gas and a small lego together 💀
ah yes a rebranded switch lite

This is only good if you a decent internet access I would recommend the steam deck or even the the switch Instead
i like how you mention "pirate" because this is the best emulation machine so far
You playing burnout 2 on that thing made my day 🫶
The two problems with this are that it’s underpowered and overpriced for what it is. If logitech can fix those in a second gen version I’ll consider it, until then the steam deck, razer edge or even something like a backbone controller are better options.
350 is a big no no for what this can do
It's around 200 now
