- My final review of Baldur's Gate 3 and if you should buy it in 2024. This is an amazing game, but may not appeal to EVERYONE....

Great video I've had bg3 in my backlog it may be time to fire it up again great video keep up the good work
I like good complex stories. It's why I liked Phantasy Star 3: Generations. It had many paths you could choose, and you wind up getting different characters to play as, and a different ending. The starting part is always the same, but when you finish that, it is where it branches off into their own complex story lines and so on until the end. It's the same with Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Cross; your decisions decide on how the game goes and the ending you receive. I like high fantasy and scifi so this may be right up my alley.
Good video, too bad CZcams didn't put it out there. I had to do some searching to find it as I love BG3 and was looking for something I haven't seen. I have over 2k hrs, with early access, and every achievement; so to say I love this game is an understatement. I too am an old DM starting in the 80s, this is hands down the best D&D adaptation I have seen. Solasta is also good and I hope to see more of these true adaptations.

I'm glad I never played the early access. And I despise reviews that are based on an unfinished game. I only got this game like 2 months back. So much more polished.
@@twistedelegance_ I am a fan of Larian and they have earned my trust with the way they do games. As a fan, I did my part in early access, looked for exploits, and broken stuff, and posted several constructed criticisms. 80% of the fixes I wanted to see were done. I will never pre-order a game, but when it comes to Larian, I will purchase any early access game THEY do because of the trust they have earned with their fan base.
I’ve been on the fence about buying it for quite a while now. I’m playing on XBox Series X. The main thing I’m hesitant about is the turn based combat. Though I’ve enjoyed some turn based games in the past :)

Turn based combat is not for everyone. The D&D 5e ruleset is also hard to get used to if you never played D&D tabletop before. Cheers!
If you've enjoyed any turn-based games in the past, ABSOLUTELY give it a shot. I can't tell you how many comments I've read from people with exactly the same reservation who say it's one of the best video game purchases they've ever made.
Can you battle in a more 3rd person view?

You can zoom the camera in on the characters as close as you want but it may make targeting difficult.
I really enjoyed Witcher 3 and Skyrim (Skyrim's RPG systems were kinda weak compared to Fallout 3 or Oblivion) but I really am having doubts about the turn based combat. I feel like I'd fall in love withe the story telling a beautiful art though. Hmm. I might wait for a sale.
