- Last week, I received my IV antibiotics to treat my respiratory infection. The antibiotic arrived in this plastic ball called an Elastomeric easy pump. I absolutely love this device. It is very simple to use and requires almost no set-up. Let me explain how to use the pump. #antibiotics #iv #godismystrength

Easypump is the best elastomeric pump of all.
A great product by B.Braun from Germany.
Thank you for this very good video.
Thank you for sharing. That is great insight.
Thank you
This video helped me so much in my home care antibiotic administration
Oh wonderful! I am so happy to hear this.
I used this Pump on my Husband when he was ill. it was easy and worked great
That is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Very informative! I’d not heard of these before your video.
Thank you. I am glad you learned something new.
You may want to use the saline flush at a slower rate. This precludes the possibility of infusion shock!
Thank you for sharing. At what rate would you suggest infusing the saline flush to prevent the possibility of infusion shock?
I had to stumble through using these a few months ago. Didn't know what I was doing at first but they are actually alot better than just using an IV pole and relying on gravity.
I am sorry you had a challenging experience when first using these. I, too, did not have instruction on how to use them. I went to CZcams and searched. I did not find a good video which explained how to use. After figuring out how to use them, I decided I should make a video on how to use the device.
Yes, I agree. These are much better than using an IV pole.
@@GodisMyStrengthI use an EZ Pump, question is: should there be a cut in the plastic "Ball"?
@@JadenYukifan28 Hello. The plastic ball has two layers. The exterior plastic, which surrounds the medicine ball, will have a cut or multiple cuts in the plastic. The interior medicine ball should be solid with no cuts in it. (If the interior ball has a cut in it, the medicine will be leaking out of the ball.)
@@GodisMyStrengthHello, I use this after my first IV Infusion, with help from my father. I know you said that it has to be room temperature before being used, could it still be set up before use even if it was cold?
@@JadenYukifan28 Hello. You can setup it while it is still cold. However, please do not infuse the medicine until the medicine is room temperature.
Do you not have a separate fridge for TPN and antibiotics. Lovely instructional video
Thank you for your kind words. I do not have a separate fridge for TPN and antibiotics.
How to use if the normal saline is 500 ml with 5FU for 24 hrs?
That is a good question. Please ask your pharmacist
