Yo huge shoutout to mercs for admitting he just couldn’t hack it. It’s so funny how everyone somehow gets medically discharged, no one ever quits. So when someone admits it just wasn’t for them I have so much respect for that person.
@Harley Kalashnikov I was Army not Navy but the only question I have is what happened next? Like you said Buds dropouts get reassigned to probably something like "needs of the navy" and finish out the contract. You can quit buds but not the Navy. At least that is how it is for Army special Forces. Maybe I'm missing something?
It is also 'cause of medical discharge.
Muscle tears and fractures are way too common in BUDS dropouts.
@@Thqb919 they tend to get offered other rates contracts and go right to their a school (ait for army). The navy seabees get a TON of SF dropouts. I had like 5 just in my graduating class
@Harley Kalashnikov Maybe some people use an injury as an excuse, but acting like some people don't get injured is extremely ignorant.
One of my buddies rang the bell because he couldn’t hack it, in his own words. He then went on to join Force Recon as a Doc and went right back into a basically identical training environment but made it. lol
My respect for this guy just peaked. I mean yeah the fact that he attempted it and got 2 weeks in is incredible as it is but he can say “I just wasn’t enough” without making excuses or trash talking the seal community and that means way more.

As an ex special operations soldier. Nick is so positive. The life isn’t for everyone. You either got it or you don’t. Props for admitting he just didn’t want THAT bad enough.
