Forgone Destruction will just never get old, so so good
Agreed, it deserves its legendary status
@@VintageModernRemixes It gives me chills every time I hear it. It's genuinely one of the best game tracks out there. Thanks for giving us the remastered version.
@@LeviR34 It gives me chills too... hitting those nostalgia nerves in just the right spot every time
why none of austronauts played this while being in space tho
Breakcore: everything old is new again (and again)
This is still one of the best soundtracks in gaming history, and you've done it so much justice with this remaster - thank you!
Very happy to hear as I put quite a lot of time into both the audio and visuals. Glad it's getting some good use. 😎👍
year 2001. I go to my brother’s house to play on the computer; we spend the whole day at UT99. Everyone is friends, everyone is alive, no one quarrels with anyone. Now we rarely communicate, some of our loved ones have died. This music selection brings back good memories
Great times and the turn of the century was a hell of a time to be alive. Man, it turns out the future sucks!
Nostalgia kicks in
Nostalgia punches me in the face the whole time I am working on these. No complaints.
I left gaming for years to do something else, but never left listening to game OST-s. UT is one of the very best of all time! 🤩
It's like the music helps us relive older times playing the game, but when used as background music you can bring that same intensity to whatever you're working on in the present.
@@VintageModernRemixes Well said.
You didn't have to, but... you did. Thank you. This is amazing.
Actually, I had to. 😜 Thanks for the kind words.
@@VintageModernRemixes Hahahaha.
Timeless. I still got this on my playlist along with the Painkiller soundtrack.
Painkiller has a killer soundtrack!
No matter how many times I've heard it, Run always feels faster than I remember it. Fantastic high-energy track.
It's one of my favorites 👍
One of the best soundtracks ever! Spectating bots blowing each other to pieces was a nice touch
Thanks! I agree it's one of the best.
Wait, I cannot, for Vol.2 !!
M-m-m-monster effort in this, cheers!
M-m-m-monster compliment, thanks!
Damn, I miss my childhood so much sometimes it hurts. I remember getting home after school on a friday, turning my dreamcast on, getting some snacks and blasting bots through the afternoon. love this game so much!
I was really young when I first played UT. I loved every moment of it. I loved the music, the visuals, and the atmosphere. I spent countless days playing it and is one of the most vivid memories of my gaming history. I loved how the skyboxes looked, rotating all around you while fighting on a space platform and seeing the giant planets, galaxies, and other space objects around. Hyperblast is so good, seeing the cool ships on the site of the big ship was so awesome while the stars in the background raced through the speed. Same thing with being on the surface, seeing sprawling cities and distant skylines, and billboard signs full of light, giving me a first early glimpse of what a cyperpunk world looked like. I eventually learned how to use the Unreal Editor and even though I wasn't good at it, I would always try to make some small stuff. It was so relaxing to do and really fun as well. It just seemed to get even better when the rest of the games, like UT2004, came out, setting even higher expectations and blowing my mind even more. I wish Unreal Tournament came back, but I know it never will, and even if it did, it may end up being a major disappointment with today's gaming leadership in companies. There was so much potential for the reboot version that was eventually cancelled... but all those dreams were crushed. I will cherish every existing moment of this game. I don't know, I just thought I'd give a meaningless rant about how much I love Unreal Tournament lol
I relate to a lot of this. Long live Unreal!
Thank you for doing this, love the old MODtracker music, it just hits different
Yeah it does have its own unique sound, nothing else sounds like it. It's my favorite type of background music for other activities.
LETS GO!!! Starting off with a banger.
Yeah I made sure I started the compilation with a new song I haven't done yet, kicking things off with something fresh
Hello everyone, this is by far the best game ever! I loved my childhood so much
Username checks out
I ❤ UNREAL
It's soooo good
Whole soundtrack sounding similar to original UMX files (well, another iteration of tracked music) tells everything we need to know about quality and effort put in two decades old music.
I am a personal trainer for a living. I have mixed feelings about Unreal music. UT tracks specifically are fantastic for group workouts and it was very fun to put together a handmade playlist for people to go ham on. I get a compliment here and there for picking the right high energy track to really get the blood flowing but alas, no one recognizes where it's from. I blame people for caving to convenience (cough Spotify cough) and not doing anything manual anymore. I love scouring the CZcamss for music. Who doesn't love music? Is it videogame music stigma?
Yeah not many people like to go listen to a particular thing, they just like it being randomly dropped in their lap. I've used UT music for workouts and it's got that intensity that helps me hit it hard. 🏋️♀️
skyward fire is such a chill track
One of my faves
This is outstandingly good content, bravo!!
My inner child is cheering upon all these fond memories, thank you!
Thanks! Then it is working as intended.
Ahhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhh. This right here. Instant nostalgia!
Hellllll yea it is designed for nostalgia overdose
The first cut is the first map I have ever seen when I first time play UT in 2001
Hyperblast is always a blast! And oh so beautiful looking as well.
Over 1 hour of the good stuff! Lets Rock! Cheers mate
Oh I only deal with the good stuff, baby
i didn't know that memories can be so vivid. Many times I would go to a friends house to play this game and play so many matches. hahaha through this music I can still remember exactly how that home looked like. shit, lost contact after so many years. if I can find him I need to invite him for a rematch. 😂😂😂
I have the same great memories. The music is a great way to access them. 🎸
Ayyy, those are some juicy remastered tracks which hit right in the nostalgia.
Love it ! 🖤
Glad it hits the right spot 🎯
You know it's good when you hear it and hair raises on your neck.
It needs Razorback though!
Working as intended! Razorback will certainly be one of my next remasters, and then it will also be on volume two of this album series
Saw a notification from Nanotech a bit ago today. Clicked. Here I am with a BIG reply/review. (And I will subscribe after I post.)
I have never seen this first map or music.
What do you mean by "REMASTERED MUSIC"? What did you do to it?
I write this as the video plays. .... Oh! Foregone... CTF,, Music. Nice. I prefer the low grave instagib game play. SKYWARD FIRE #1. My favorite of all UT music. I've said that before in other posts. It's the musical cords. For me Nether Animal Is not for me. Oh My! I forgot about Mechanism Eight. I heard it on a different map. I don't know this map. Video of it is nice. Botpack. I know the song. Don't remember playing that map.
Cannonade? Totally new. This is a. Not been there. Not done that thing for me.
"Save Me". Music is known. That's a hard place to play CTF. Even at Instagib level.
PHANTOM! #2 fav. I don't care what map it's on.
Finally. The beginning game menu song. (I'm repeating it as I check my post). How could have forgotten it? Probably because I have not played UT99 in 20 years... Literally.
Thank you Nano for reminding me of the past.
Subscribing.
Thanks for checking it out! My UT99 remasters are rebuilt from the ground up using samples from the original UMX files, then I often add new instruments like drums or bass. While getting the new instruments to fit into the mix, the entire mix is often redone in order to make certain instruments shine through more or taming other instruments that are too loud or harsh. The final step is mastering the entire mix and I often use layers of dynamic EQ, stereo imaging, maximizers, tape effects, and more. Glad you enjoy the fruits of my labor!
The maps in the first song are DM-Hyperblast and DM-Deck16. Cannonade is actually the music for the very first map of the single player campaign which is also a beautiful city map.
Glad you are enjoying the memories! Thanks for the sub.
@@VintageModernRemixes Read your reply. thank you.
The amount of care and attention to detail that went into this is just amazing. Thank you for your hard work it shows! I especially loved the Deus Ex levels didn't know that was a thing.
Thanks for appreciating my time and effort. The Deus Ex scenes are from a UT99 deathmatch map which is the Hong Kong Streets map. It's a lot of fun. Also the JC Denton player models are also just a community-made item. Glad you enjoy it all. 😎👍
Brutaaal, Unreal Tournament 99 siempre tuvo un gran soundtrack
Oh heeelll yea gamer thanks
Glad you like it!
PLEASE. PLEASE. MAKE ONE FOR UNREAL TOURNAMENT III, THERES SOME GREAT SOUNDTRACKS ON THAT!
I absolutely love the music from UT3. Mekalopolis was my favorite track. I would like to get into some UT3 stuff soon. Thanks for the feedback.
@@VintageModernRemixesI’ve completely subscribed, and I’m anxiously waiting for it! These soundtracks are insanely powerful you have no clue. Please consider it, UT3 is amazing.
@@shauxe Thanks for the sub. Each of these takes me a while so a full UT3 album wouldn't happen for a while, but I will start checking out each individual track to see what I can do with them. 🤘
What are your favorites from UT3?
@@VintageModernRemixes I hope you can do a mix of the Unreal series with 2K4 tracks. UT2K4 has the best soundtrack in all of the series for me. Kevin Riepl is a genius
Another certified Nanotech banger
Great to hear!
A masterclass lesson on how to remaster a soundtrack. The UT soundtrack always was a challenge to remaster, not just because of the technical conundrums, but also because of how close to so many people's hearts and memories it is.
What an incredible achievement. Love every single one (though Run and Nether Animal will always be my personal favorites). Thank you so much for doing this.
Wow thanks, I am really just making the mixes I would want to hear as a listener. It is definitely a challenging project but I love the music enough to keep me motivated. I go though periods while working on these where I get burned out from having to listen to the same little chunk of the song over and over trying to get the drum sound right or something. Luckily once I release it I am able to enjoy it again. Glad you're getting some good use out of it. 👍
Now i either need a remake with these in it, or a mod for OG UT99 that swaps the songs for these ones, thanks for your hard work!
Amen! Glad you appreciate my hard work
@@VintageModernRemixes Would it be possible to eventually have them on streaming services? I would love to have them on while driving
@@emongev The albums are available on my Bandcamp page: crestviewsound.bandcamp.com
wow and wow. Been WCG participant in UTs this game has such a big place in my heart
It's one of the greats 👑
Hyperblast forever!!
It's one of the best!
Starting the work day with some classics ! ^_^
The best way to start the day
Foregone Destruction is my favorite song from UT99 but I also love Nether Animal, it's basically just drums and a sonar sound most of the time but it keeps you hyped af
They're two of my favorites as well. They perfectly set the mood for their respective maps
Absolute bangers.
Hell yes
better than coffee
Gets you pumped up with no side effects!
You know a music is insanely good when the uploader makes it play more than one time within a compilation. Thank you for this. Subscribed.
Glad you like it and thanks for the sub!
Nice work
Thanks!
So nice to hear it today :D
Happy to brighten your day 🌞
Wow! I LOVE IT! 🤩
We have a similar taste in music then 😉
love it!!!
Glad you dig it 🤘🎧
Showing the gameplay with the level just hits different. Another well done!
Thanks! Yeah the trick is to hit those nostalgia nerves with all five senses.
Genuinely great compilation, good work and thank you for honouring one of my childhood games!
Very happy to hear my effort is worth the trouble. Happy fragging!
Only 15 seconds in and I am loving it! Awesome work keep it coming.
Thanks! I intentionally put Go Down first so it gets you hooked immediately, and PUMPED UP for ludicrous fragging.
You should release a Deus Ex soundtrack next. 😉
You read my mind 🧠
There's NEVER been a soundtrack like this since.
It's hard to beat 🥇
Nothing is perfect, but Unreal GOTY was the closest thing to it. Music, atmosphere, design...everything was there. Vibe from 90's games hit differently.
Agreed on all points
Good shit
💩💿
That's my mix for work
I use it as background all the time, keeps me pumped and alert
This rules.
Thanks!
Well deserved.
Foregone Destruction is a legendary track.
You cannot have enough remixes of this track.
Can you also do Shared Dig?
I love it like nothing else.
Timelines needed. Just started listening - sounds good so far. Cheers.
Oh thanks for reminding me. I was so excited to get the video out I missed an important task. Got em up now.
47:20 almost the hive music from Donkey Kong country 2 XD
Definitely similar style and same era 🎵
So used to hearing the music and not knowing the names of the songs.👀
Song names aside, all that matters is that the music is amazing
How did you remaster the songs so well? Amazing work!

@@VintageModernRemixes the whole process sounds like it's kind of painting restoration - a lot of meticulous details that go into it. Looking forward for the Vol. 2 🤘
@ItsMorganVega that is a great analogy you have made. The way I have thought about it is that I am inspired by visual remasters of old games, where they get new textures and models. I always thought the same treatment should be done to the music, and viola! 🎶
13:24 you clicked here for this
do you know about the remaster process? how can you remaster mod?

@@VintageModernRemixes very interesting and well done!
Thank you!
Wow can you remaster sound track of tactical ops game, which use unreal engine 1 too, I really appreciate if this can be real
Oh never played that one but I'll check it out!
@@VintageModernRemixes Yes ! Thank you, I have sub you on Patreon
@@cscdvmp Thank you, I appreciate the support!
Very nice!👍😉
Thank you 🤘
Ahah subbing me to get me to look at your channel... It worked. Love UT music and you nailed this.
Haha you busted me. But my scheme obviously works. Glad you like my stuff!
i cannot add this video to a playlist, why?!
I just tested doing so from a couple of my other alternate accounts and it works fine. May be a CZcams glitch somehow, maybe give it some time
