**DAY 2 update is in the video, DAY 3 UPDATE: It's a no from me dawg. I tried using less product with no primer and wearing it more light/medium coverage and it just seemed to still look makeup-y. I just find it to be too finicky when there are foundations I can throw on and not worry about. I'm still going to play around with it but am not lovin it.

Just had a question if you were switching concealers with it,or if you were still testing the same one ?
It’s going on to your own face , concealers have doefoots and no one says a thing .
Can I just say that it’s the little things that may go unnoticed like -moving around a video release schedule and -filming a second day wear because a filter was on, that make your content so amazing and great?! The amount of effort you put in to listening to your audience and keeping professional integrity is wonderful and appreciated. Thank you for all the inside scoop and joy your videos bring! Amen to this.. Very well said Mama.. It's what makes her one of my top fave CZcamsrs for a couple years or so now.. She is seriously one of the hardest working, most conscientious, and down to earth people on the platform. I always say Taylor, Leigh Ann, and Jessica Braun are the only 3 whose Vlogs I watch and whose opinions I actually trust.
I have to agree with this... Most CZcamsrs would say "I totally didn't realize I had the smoothing filter on OoOopsies, sorry about that!" and do nothing to remedy it. The fact that Taylor added that disclaimer and then filmed additional, FIXED check ins is what sets her apart from the others. She deserves more subs for that work ethic. Such a shame to see some very lazy creators with 2+ million :-/

It’s crazy how foundations are so different on so many different people. I love this foundation. I have normal to dry skin with issues mainly around the chin and nose. This is one of the only foundations I have tried that didn’t look like a paste applied to my blemishes. I did apply with a beauty blender and found that to give a great finish. Didn’t use anything to set except under the eyes cause I used a concealer. All concealers don’t conceal my dark circles lol. I appreciate that those who have had similar experiences related to foundation with your skin type now to stay away. Thank you
I feel like this foundation is definitely meant to be applied with a sponge/blender. Most foundations that don’t work for Taylor tend to not work for me either so Idk if I should bother. :/
I am cosidering buying it, but haven't been so sure because I'm getting dry around my nose. Other then that I have normal skin. I saw your comment about being dry around your nose and at your chin. Do you think that it's worth trying for a skintype like mine? I'm still going to watch a few more reviews since this is one of the few I've seen 😊
@@miriamskille4363 I have dry skin and my nose is my WORST spot too! But this foundation was a holy grail. It did not cling onto my dry patches on my nose. Also, moisturizing is key. PRO TIP: if you do have a super dry nose ( like me ) I recommend using whatever product you have left on your sponge/brush and THEN going over your nose. It helps look less cakey, less flakey, and less dry.

I'm obsessed with the foundation. I've struggled with acne and have indented acne scarring, not many and not very deep, but noticeable. This is one of the very few foundations that make me look natural. This foundation does not accentuate my scars. It's super lightweight but has good coverage. Love it!
FINALLY A INFLUENCER WHO DID THEIR RESEARCH AND DIDNT JUST SAY “HEY HERES A NEW BRAND I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BUT IM GOING TO ACT LIKE I DO.”
It’s super annoying that people aren’t doing a shred of research. It’s meant to be almost a minimalist vibe and to watch people slather one the foundation heavily or complain that the packaging is ugly is pretty disheartening.

I always prefer the way my foundation looks hours into my day rather then when I first apply it. It always blends with my face oils and looks so much better and dewier.

The L’Oréal Pro Glow does this on me. It looks ok at first but at about 1 hour it melts in and looks gorgeous!

Foundation Friday is my favorite. I really love how in depth you go with your reviews and I really appreciate the wear tests. I won't buy a foundation anymore until I have seen it on foundation Friday! Also I just wanted to say that I struggle with pretty bad depression and anxiety and I find your channel a nice comforting place so thank you for your amazing content.

Tbh i never liked doe foot applicators, even with concealer. I have SUPER acne prone skin so I always tried to minimize cross contamination by putting concealer on the back of my clean hand then taking my clean finger and tapping it into the concealer then putting it on my face
And lips and eyes etc. Just saying lol. Apparently by some other comments it gets ppl all riled up and needing to be experts. Lol. It's all got bacteria and putting them back in wet and sealed up just breeds more bacteria but if your not sharing and throw things out after a while probably not gonna "hurt "you but I can only imagine what you'd find under a microscope. I agree with you for some reason it only gets brought up with foundation? I just personally am not a fan of that type of applicator but the same thing can be said about brushes even and I KNOW everyone ain't washin and disinfecting those each and every time lol

I have fibro as well! But I also have a form of osteogenesis imperfecta (aka brittle bone disease) so I legit cried when I read my best friend tell me about the packaging.
I was like “ew I hate the packaging”

I love the “makeup-y” term. I hate that too! I would rather have imperfections show than look like a hot mess of foundation. Many days I wear hydrating primer and powder.
Don’t take this there wrong way but I’m actually glad that this foundation didn’t work well for you in the two wear-tests because from the CZcamsrs who I follow, no one was having major issues with it. It just speaks to how different skin types can react so differently to things. Granted, I get it, it’s never easy to say “this is terrible” but it’s the diversity of reactions that help people make informed decisions. Anyway! Rant over. I also have a chronic illness and get not wanting to talk about with people even though it’s hard because it does consume so much of your life. I really appreciate you including a little more of that part of your life as you feel comfortable. It makes a girl not feel alone ☺️💕
I hope that people will still give this foundation a try despite your opinion because I’ve been wearing it every day since it launched and I am OBSESSED! It’s my perfect foundation! I’m so glad to have finally found something that looks natural on my skin but still covers everything I want to cover. 🧡
My issue is that I already use glossier foundation on the days I want light coverage, so even though I would try it, it’s not something I necessarily feel like I NEED. But maybe when my glossier runs out I’ll revisit !
I wanted to love it and I kept trying to love it, but unfortunately it made my skin flaky even after moisturizing and priming really well. This foundation is advertised for all skin types but it is not for dry skin.
That’s awesome. It was horrible on me. I have normal skin and it dries down like a powder. It stuck to any dry patches even though I don’t have any? It also accentuates anything on your face, like texture, including little peach fuzz. I will always stick to GA luminous silk. :(

I agree--this is my GO TO FOUNDATION NOW-it just feels so great and I know it is relatively "clean" ingredients!!! I either use a BB or just my fingers to be honest--the concealer is ok-but I do find that I add a little Tarte concealer or IT concealer to it and it is as close to perfect as I can get! smile I love the applicators too no problem with either one of the applicators--easy to use! I'm so happy with RARE BEAUTY foundation--all my other ones look like just something I could toss-as I honestly don't know if I'll use them...

why people found the foundation applicator unhygienic when the concealer has the same exact shape granted a bit smaller & no one says anything abt that? lol
I think because most of the time the concealer touches the more unproblematic area under the eyes and if you touch acne spots ect. on the rest of the face with the doe foot applicator from the foundation then it can get problematic. I would always use a palette or plate with these applicators to make sure it stays clean 😊
Agree! It is the same when we use lipgloss or liquid lipstick contour sticks.

And there's preservatives in the formulas that prevent the growth of bacteria so it allows for you to touch your face and put it back as long as it's not shared w anyone else.

I absolutely adore this lighting, camera set up you have now. By FAR the most accurate of any beauty videos I've seen. Not all blown out and blurred. Shows the real skin texture and the products used. Perfection 👌👌👌🥰🥰 I just love you Taylor, and cute side note, my 10 month old son loves watching your videos with me, I swear he remembers watching your videos with my tablet on my tummy while pregnant 😂 he points at the t.v. and babbles. ♥️

I have POTS and EDS and the inaccessibility of the world never ceases to frustrate and baffle me. I think it’s great that Selena thought of this in designing her makeup packaging and hope other brands do the same!
Emily I also have POTS, Chiari, and EDS so I completely understand. It’s nice to be thought of when doctors barely even think of us!
I have psoriatic arthritis and sjorgens syndrome, autoimmune too, and I love how that she included that in the packaging. 💜

Liz Dempsey works fine for my combo skin in my humid climate. I set it and use mattifying primer. But who wouldn’t set the base better according to the weather/climate?🤷♀️
I did not like it at all, it stuck to all my acne and also found dry patches even though my skin type of predominately oily. I returned the product as well. Hope it works okay for you if you do try!

I really liked the hypoallergenic properties since ive been having sensitivity issues but i was struggling with the dry patches. The employee at Sephora told me that the Milk hydrating primer matches it well for people with dryer skin. He was totally right! I just put on my usual moisturizer with the primer and it wears naturally no dry patches. I went thru several other primers and for some reason this is the only primer that works. Its a good combination since the primer is also for sensitivity. I like the finish on it now that i finally solved the cakey/dryness issue

“A lot of foreheads look really dry and cling here” 😂 I appreciate you leaving that in, it made me laugh. I think it’s so cool that the packaging is made for people with chronic pain/mobility issues! I didn’t know about raising money for mental health, either, I think that’s so cool. So weird about the cake-y, losing coverage thing, though.

Cake! I was so glad to see your review. I've seen so many PR reviews that seem to only be positive, which makes me doubt some opinions. Everything won't work for everyone, so I prefer the reviews where the product was purchased because they feel more honest.

The Urban Decay brow blade is my ride or die brow product!! I have literally half an eyebrow on both sides from over plucking in the 90's, and it is so, so good to draw on my brows and create actual hair strokes! Love it so much! I always can't wait for your foundation reviews because you have great taste in foundations and we seem to have similar skin types! Love you!! 💗

Maegann Thomas Me too! I have thick straight and frizzy hair, and a lot of it. My hair is too heavy to hold a curl, and too heavy to put up. The only choice I have is to wear it down and hope it doesn’t frizz up. 😂😭

Rachel Grubbs It’s wasn’t designed to be spoonie friendly. They wanted the packaging to have a clean, feminine, and geometric shape, that’s on their website. It was sort of an accident that it ended up being disabled peeps friendly.

Can I just say how gorgeous the gold and orange toned eyeshadow is on your eyes. I wish I had larger eyes or actually more lid space for eyeshadow and my eyes are brown which I love, but I feel limited on what colors look good on me. Love your foundation Friday's. I have so many I have tried out because of your reviews. Want a high end one if it won't break me out. I guess I need to get samples. 🙂
Love how she made the products easy to open. As someone with SLE, RA, EDS, Kiloh-Nevin, aka anterior interosseus nerve syndrome, neuropathy. fibromyalgia, and many, many other fun illnesses! I'm in my early 30's, not 80's which most would think lol. I'm not complaining - I have an amazing husband, beautiful, healthy daughter (had her before I got sick.. I got married at 22). I'm blessed to live in my dream house and have a husband who is a medical professional's He has been in school before we meet and finished last year haha.. Although I'm in chronic pain, I refuse to let it define me, and try to always remain positive - I hope anyone else who reads this and may be going through something similiar chooses to do the same 💞.. It didn't come easily, but consistent therapy keeps me on track 😊

Chisom Okereke thank you 💖.. I am religious and I will try the prayer. You,j mention it's very powerful. Have you experienced positive change in your life or the life of a loved one. I'm not doubting three prayer, but instead could really benefit from hearing something positive. My anxiety is so high and I've been having panic attacks all day. I really want no one to ever feel bad for me because everyone is battling their own struggles. I would honestly love to meet someone who felt complete inner peace and happiness. I am blessed to have an amazing husband & daughter who are healthy, our beautiful home, loving family and so on. I am incredibly grateful. They as well, like myself, (especially in the world we are living in currently) face anxiety, depression, and other issues. My husband does not have any forms of anxiety, or depression, which fascinates me, as he is also genetically predisposed to both of these conditions. Sorry for rambling on, my husband is waiting for me to go to bed. Hope you have a great day or night 💓
