    Nice video. The barges haul about anything. Fertilizer, antifreeze, anhydrous ammonia, baler twine, all sorts of things.

    Only the Upper Mississippi River has locks and dams. The last lock is around Alton, IL. The Illinois River also has many locks and dams. Which leads to the Cal Sag channel. Which intern leads you to the Calumet River or South Branch of the Chicago River. At the Heads of both rivers there are locks that led to Lake Michigan. I have sailed from Minneapolis MN. to the Mississippi Rivers tail waters in New Orleans. And all the River system from Grafton IL to Chicago. All while in the USCG
