use a heat gun on the lenses to clear them up. Works on clear glass and plastic. Also we use mosquito spray on car lenses but need running water to rinse off.

The stone looks like a Madeira Citrine. It’s in the quartz family. A lot of handmade jewelry is never stamped, especially if it’s made by a small time jeweler. I used to make custom jewelry, and the only time I would stamp the karat or silver content is if the customer requested it.
Based on size and color my vote is Garnet for the ring stone. Another great day at the office! Cheers!

Love your videos and how you edit them down to show just the finds and skip the endless searching. I snorkel a local surf point break and usually find at least one or 2 pieces of debris. Mostly lost surfboard fins, some of which are worth $. I also once found a metal object but didn't see what it was until I got to the beach: a Rolex band! Just waiting until summer so I can go back and search for the watch!

HEY MICHAEL! I did a little research on your red stone ring and I believe it to be a red Garnet Cabachon. A ruby would typically be a cut stone and u can see this is an uncut stone in its' pure form. Unfortunately, they're not worth as much, but pretty nonetheless. Garnets are typically done in older, more vintage settings also. It is probably set in silver and is either handmade and not stamped, or an older setting done B4 they stamped silver rings. There was a similar one on sale online for $55 USD. Still an exciting find! Love the wetsuit! U look like you've been hitting the gym hard. Body (arms in particular) looks much bigger lately! Wetsuit gives u an exceptionally good look! Just a friendly compliment (no disrespect to the Mrs. LOL). See your subs are continuing to grow. So proud of u and all you've accomplished! The most important thing is for people to see the rubbish picked up and an example everyone should do. We all live on the same planet and as such, should respect it for future generations. I hope the ring find's his owner cause that looks like one expensive ring of a large Ruby. I am sure some rings have distinctive markings on it that he or she can identify if the ring was reported lost.

Just wondering if you could attach a balloon or a brightly coloured buoy to you to serve as a marker above the water to indicate where you are to avoid a mishap from boats with propellers or men in speedos.

I don't what the metal of the ring is. As you saw tarnish, you're probably right about it being silver of some sort. The red stone is so clear that it's hard to think it is a ruby. A ruby that clear would be worth a great deal. Red stones that big and clear are often spinels. Let us know what you discover!

Nice find, great looking ring. Could be silver or pewter. Pretty sure it is a garnet or ruby but hard to tell with a cabochon cut stone.

My guess on the stone would be rubellite tourmaline. Because it is to clear and cherry red to be a ruby. Possibly garnet. Jmo

The silver ring has no markings probably because it was made in the Middle East where they make jewellery on the street. The stone is probably paste or glass but might be a semi precious low value stone but definitely not a big ruby.
