  • Hi YMMers, this week’s topic is: Jesus is warm and compassionate.
My friends, do you miss the warmth of companionship?
Day after day, government restrictions have been distancing us from each other more and more. Of course, these measures are to keep us all safe.
However, do you regret anything from what turned out to be the last physical meet-up for a while? Although, thanks to technology we are able to substitute face-to-face interactions, but doesn’t it feel different? Like something is missing?
We all have a void within that longs for love, friendship and warmth. We search for many ways to fill our emptiness inside. Jesus is the Almighty God and He loves us more than anyone in this world. Jesus is the only one capable to fill us completely.
The song we would like to share this week is called What a Glorious Beloved.
But before that, I would like to share a story from the Bible in Luke 5:12-13.
12 While He was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy. And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged him, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” 13 And Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him.
Leprosy is a highly contagious skin infection that causes skin lesions and nerve damage, if left untreated it can cause ulcers on skin and disfigured nose, fingers and toes. These are some scary symptoms and often cause the person to be rejected, feared and despised.
Think about how long it’s been since this man has been touched? Jesus’ love is greater than any in this World, He approaches all in the same manner. He understands us, He cares and He makes the effort to love. Jesus didn’t need to touch the man to heal him, but in doing so Jesus healed his disease and his empty heart.
Do you miss the warmth of companionship?
