    Love how you guys actually pull up a map and show us what the deer are doing and why they are doing it along with land features and how they use them. not everyone shows those type of things in their videos but you guys do and its much appreciated by us viewers

    This is one of the best videos I've seen in terms of real world examples compiled with explaining things on a map, which I learn the best on. Great video.

    “We got em” bold bold statement in the big woods 😂. That’s awesome though, hard to beat finding sheds in the big woods after miles and miles of walking. People don’t realize how hard it can be. Looks like a high deer density area which could make it challenging to get to him. Good luck this year!

    Here's a follow up question regarding stand setup...
    You showed where, but where exactly? For bow hunting, are you sacrificing shot angle for thermals or vice versa when you're picking a tree and how high to climb?
    ie, morning hunt, rising thermals..is your tree uphill or downhill from his expected path, and why?
    I'm from Middle TN and just moved to northern/central KY and have ZERO experience with hills this steep. For example, my best stand is in the bottom, 10ft up on the climbing side, but 13ft up the shooting side. It's great until the leaves fall off.
    Would love to see a Part 2 video regarding setups on these examples. You guys (by FAR) have the best scouting content on YT.

    I've hunted this type of terrain sinct1977. I know a little. Excellent information. Heres the plan obliterating bomb . Hes laying under a while oak that's dropping acorns in his bed or within 30 yards. Stands up, stretches, and feeds til dark. Time for plan B

      Thank you! And I agree, that's probably what the big boy will be doing. Maybe we'll get lucky and have a bad acorn drop this year. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it lol. Thanks for watching!

    Really enjoying your videos. Were you all scouting in season or post season (march-april)?

    • @latitudeoutdoors
      @latitudeoutdoors  Před 8 měsíci

      Thank you! We scouted this piece in April, but 90% of our scouting is in season just because of limited time. Spring/summer scouting is extremely valuable in our opinion. Thanks for checking out the videos!

    What brand of trail camera's are you using?

  • @barrymartin6260
    @barrymartin6260 Před rokem +1

    When you guys scout and look for all the good sign like the scrapes including the hub scrapes and the beds are you concentrating on the spine of the points or the sides or are you checking the hollows for trails and beds on the upper third ? Or are you covering all of the area ? I scout by myself most of the time because you can't trust anybody...lol Thanks !

    • @latitudeoutdoors
      @latitudeoutdoors  Před rokem

      Hey Barry, thanks for reaching out. I personally focus on the spines first. If the bottom of a spine has good sign (I like to see deer density more than anything), I work up from there to try and find a bed I think holds a buck. If I find a good bed, I try to find adjacent doe bedding, food, and a hub scrape (scrape is usually at the bottom of the spine but not always). If I find these 3 things I feel like I can throw a sit at it during any stage of the season. This is all dependent on how steep the terrain is though. The steeper it is, the more important the spines become in our experience. This is just how I attack it, there are some other approaches that work well for some guys I know. The In Session podcast has some great episodes with guys who do really well using other strategies. Good luck this season!
