I use to have a Type S back in high school. Same color too. When I graduated, my parents pushed me to sell it at 125,000 miles because "It'd be smarter to buy a new car then fix up an old one" We traded it in for a brand new 2014 Elantra. That was the stupidest decision I ever made in my life.

I started looking into an RSX Type-S, always thought it was cool despite the fact that I am a Toyota fanboy. Some of the ones I am finding for sale are trashed out and they want 6-8k for them. Hold onto that one dude.
Same, don't know what I want more though a Celica GT-S or an RSX Type S. Now is a good time to get both before they get even rarer and hard to find the stock.
When I was looking for cars I wanted one so bad, couldnât find a type s for a reasonable price so I grabbed a 6speed Acura Tsx with the k24a2, makes a great daily and can get down when I want it to

All motor IMO, I have an 03 RSX S with only a couple mods and I love it and literally would not trade for any other car in the world for my daily driver..
Been watching for a while now, never would expected a dc5 but since I have one I am definitely excited. Also definitely go k20/k24 frankenstein first and if thatâs not enough go boosted.

I had a 02 type s with 320k miles before it got tboned. It had Type r intake manifold, skunk 2 header, 3"thermal exhaust, kpro and 05-06 type s cams. Rev to 8700 almost everyday. I can tell the owner of yours kept good oil In it. I kept amsoil ss or redline in mine. Never any chain slap

Full k24 you probably gonna get more out of it. If you thinking on actually building it you can go with 12.5:1 pistons either nippon or good brand like wiseco or cp, build ported head with a nice cam and you finna be making some good power and probably around 280-290 to the wheels. And if you thinking on something simple either the 24/20 with drop in cams and e85 or the full 24 with drop ins and e85. With thatâs second set up you probably gonna be in the range of 250-260 and maybe more if the engine is good good. Good luck bro, looking forward to it. On my stock z3 engine I made 260 with drop ins cams and e85
To add to this if you go k24 the rsx trans has no lsd so you could swap the z3 lsd in there

Typical allmotor build battery relocation to the frame or trunk. 3.5 inch intake, alpha header or equivalent, 3 inch exhaust, Rdx injectors and ported RBC with of course a kpro. That should be pretty fun if you want more drop some DC 2.2 cams.

Keep it N/A for a while and enjoy it then boost it later. No need to rush it. Just my opinion though. And I got an FG2 225k miles by the way.
Mines lasted to 270,000 miles with Intake,Exhuast, and Tuned on Hondata and i abused it daily đ. .....i put another block recently with 148,000 miles .

Props to the previous owner for looking after it. I'm sure on the inside the engine is clean enough thanks to timely oil changes with full synth oil. I'd build a K2420 ;) You've probably done this already but if you haven't then the VC gasket and spark plug tube seals should be changed otherwise oil will get into the coil packs and burn them out causing misfires. A supercharged engine feels NA but with a lot more power. All motor RSX isn't a bad idea though since you have 2 boosted Si's already
Honda is just the best average car hands down. You just can't beat the performance and reliability of Honda's performance VTEC engine. I too drive an 05 RSX-S, but with a kfrank swap and supporting mods. Such a fun car.

I was able to snag one for 2k during the height of Covid and itâs a little beat up and had about 225k on it which is basically like new for a k20 and itâs still going hard
I bought mine with 280k miles for $2800 last year, has about 306k miles now

I also drive one. it is all black, interior and exterior with the Acura logo on the original steering wheel, but the red type R logo on the front and the back. aftermarket wheels and coil overs. no high spoiler thou'. I paid $16G for it.

All Motor Fully Built try to make it like at least 350 whp that be fcking dope. Its possible since you guys have E85 maybe you can pull more depending on how well and good the tuner is.
I'm lucky to have picked up my Type S for $2,000 with 225k miles. I've since went FBO with K-Pro. Definitely worth it!

Bore out the k20 block [upgraded sleeves are optional but I'd recommend them] with 13 plus CR pistons, Drag Cartel cams and valvetrain, port the head and get the RRC manifold and port match to head along with 74mm TB. All other obvious boltons too but you should be able to rev to 9500 and make power all the way there with that setup. I'd recommend upgraded injectors as well not sure if you'll need upgraded fuel pump honestly.
Is it a pre 2005 rsx S or after 2005? Ones oil pump is more high rev friendly than the other but they will both cavitate without porting contrary to popular belief after 9000 rpm id recommend a ported PRB oil pump which is basically the same oem pump just ported.

I will say, prefer all motor, I love supercharge and turbo, but idk there is something about all motor when it's screaming that I just love, I have a fully built 4piston motor K24/20 9th gen civic si making over 300+ on pump gas car 93oct, and yes it did cost to get it to this point however I'm very happy with the end result, you can see my built list in the description of my video
