    I'm a little disappointed that Fuji is not making faster zoom lenses. In low light, this f/4.8 can be a bit too dark. I would even accept a larger and heavier lens than the newly released 16-50mm. I'm dreaming of a zoom lens like an 18-55mm or 16-35mm with an aperture starting from f/2 or something similar. We have to keep juggling prime lenses :P
    With the X-T50, the most valuable features for me are IBIS and 4K60. These are game-changers for video and for non-stabilized lenses. The price is relatively high, but what doesn't get more expensive these days...

  • @MarcioK
    @MarcioK Pƙed 22 dny +22

    Very good litle camera, the X-T50. But it have 2 major dealbreakers for me:
    - The custom positions on the film dial not being able to store film recipes is a HUGE mistake from Fuji.
    - The price. I know it is a totally different "philosophy" camera, but is almost the same price of the Canon R7 - that have weather sealing, an arguably better AF, larger battery, dual card slot, dedicated headphone dial...
    And with Sigma entering the RF lenses arena, the lack of lenses is greatly diminished - my Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 is almost glued to my X-S20, and now it will have an RF-S version.

    Hello, I have always been very satisfied with the autofocus and eye-tracking for animals on my XH2S. I am an animal photographer specializing in dogs. Unfortunately, since the last update for the XH2S, the autofocus has become very poor. It often misses the mark by several centimeters. When I check where the focus point (green square) was, which was on the eye, I see in the picture that the autofocus unfortunately focused on the tip of the nose instead. I am more than disappointed. No, the X-T30II is a brilliant camera. I got the X-T30 when I started out in digital photography and it’s an amazing camera. I’ve done everything from travel and portraits to landscapes and Astro. You don’t need the IBIS, use your ISO to allow you to use faster shutter speeds, and you can fine tune the performance of your Autofocus - pal2tech has some fantastic videos on that. I got to try the X-T50 at the X Summit and it’s a lovely camera but upgrading is completely unnecessary. It’s a step up, but none of the improvements will make much of a difference to your photos and there’s nothing that the new camera does that your X-T30II can’t do, except for a bit of an improvement in autofocus and IBIS, which will only matter if you want to take photos of birds with massive telephoto lenses.

    The X-T50 is a complete no-go for me. A non-reconfigurable film sim dial, a stupid q-button placement, don't like the slanted top design and it still uses the old ancient batteries, which have to handle the new sensor and IBIS... And the price is sooo high, might as well get a much better X-T5. Imho, the X-T50 is bonkers camera... Thankfully, my x-t20 still works :)

I was hoping you could address the issues about 40 mp not resolving on most lenses but instead only on some of the most expensive lenses when shooting raw files...I must admit at the cost of XT5 this has scared me kind of, a little. I don't mind paying more for great things but paying more only to find dead ends that should not be there is a problem. The XT 50 is a disappointment. It may be a disaster.
    I was waiting for the XT50. A smaller and lightweight XT5. At $300 less than the XT5 it is too expensive. The crazy film simulations dial that is not reassignable. The 126s battery. This is a no go for me. I’ll wait for a used XT5 at the same price as the XT5.
    I am angry with Fuji. I was on the waiting X100v list for a year when they discontinued manufacturing it. They never officially notified me of the discontinuation of the camera I ordered. They never apologized for discontinuing manufacturing the X100V. They never offered to put me at the head of the line for ordering the X100VI. Nothing.
    I preordered the X100VI on the 1st day. There are reportedly one million orders for the camera worldwide. After 10 weeks I cancelled the order. I bought a Sony A7C with the 35/1.8 lens. This may be a better setup than the X100VI. It is certainly cheaper. On 2nd thought maybe I’ll use and love the Fuji gear I already own. Clearly Fuji no longer views me as a valued customer. There are other manufacturers that will treat me better,
    I will continue being subscribed to your channel and watching your videos as long as you don’t focus too much on Fuji’s new gear.
