This series has been top notch! From speaking with the head stringer to covering the warm up/practice areas as well as courtside and post match coverage, it was truly exemplary! I very much enjoyed Parts 1-3 and I hope you can continue to cover the German Open for many years.
ASY is still only 21 and Yamaguchi is only a few years older (mid 20s?). Both have a great career ahead of them. The older, more experienced former champions are slowly giving way to these two younger phenomenons but like you said, the roster is very diverse and interesting across all aspects, which makes WS a joy to watch.

Hi Tobias, often when I play badminton my shots are really inconsistent and sometimes I play one really good rally but then the next one I make a silly error and hit the shuttle out of the court. Is there any way to improve consistency and are there any off court exercises I can do to improve this? Also, I sometimes struggle with choosing shots so please can you make a video about shot selection?
By the way, Tobias, the idea of shooting matches from a different angle is great, what a great angle. it's a pity they posted so few videos on the German open channel ...

certainly enjoy womens' singles. they are not as strong or fast as the men, but because they cannot rely like the men on strength and speed, the top players have exquisite skills, and because they are a little slower than the men, their skills are on full display. technique-wise, there is a lot to be learned from watching these girls in action. i love watching men's singles-- it's thrilling-- but it can be so fast you often only see the flow of energy, not the precise actions. when i was starting out in the sport, i studied women's singles a lot, because i found it easy to digest what they were doing. recommend it for anyone wanting to learn
@Tobias: in a real match with An Se Young how many points could you make against her?
