After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans czcams.com/users/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!
I am a language teacher in America. Your command of English is impressive. There are no issues in clearly understanding what you say. And, “topsy-turvy” is both accurate and “catchy”. Good job!
"Topsy-turvy" seems to be a good name. Using the bench for different jobs by flipping it this way and that definitely fits under the heading of topsy-turvy.
Thank you for the reply!
The only thing I don't like about your videos is that they end.
)))
Ha true. I've been a carpenter for 35 years and I could watch this guy all day
I completely agree
Same here.. I’m mesmerized
You speak for the rest of us, too.
I would love to see a dedicated video on sharpening tools!
Noted!
I would like to as well!
That would be awesome!
@@Advoko please please do a sharpening video I would be very appreciative!!!!
Yes! Please make a video obout how you sharpen everything.
At 51 I consider myself a lifetime carpenter and yet you always have me learning new tricks. My wife and I are homesteading on a mountainside in Maine U.S. preparing for winter. Trying to achieve something close to your work bench I feel is a necessity. Tremendous craftmanship and ingenuity
Guys, wish you all the best!
*Great table works great **MyBest.Tools** love it*
They use these bottles in restaurants around here (tap drinks).
I really like when he call us friends. His peace and calm is contagious! Please carry on my friend. Regards from Brazil.
16:24 Yes "Topsy turvy" is an appropriate word to use in this case, it basically means "upside down".
Yeah I mean I think you could also call it a woodworking version of a welder's table
I love topsy turvy, I believe topsy turby is the Australian version but the V adds meaning and flavour.
I know woodturners who turn spinning tops that turn upside down on their own, and they call them topsy turvy tops.
I agree, instantly you know what it is supposed to be.
@@thelukesternater topsy turVy in Melb... not sure where you are, never heard with a b
I have a play list of these and ive fallen asleep listening to it more times than i can count hes like a bush craft bob ross and just as much of an amzing person
"Bob Ross of bushcraft" is very fitting for his soothing voice :)
My father trained for 7 years as a joiner in the 1950s UK. I've sent him this. It really makes me appreciate his words about the passion of working with wood and quality tools. He's in his 70s now and just built himself a new workshop from recycled materials. Enjoy your day and the nature.
Wow, excellent, you may be proud with your father!
I could watch these for hours. So satisfying and calming. You are my number one draft pick in the apocalypse. Just watching you work and calming describe it would make life very satisfying.
Glad you enjoy it!
As a native English speaker I was intrigued by what a "Topsy-Turvy" workbench might be.
After watching the video, I can't think of a better way to describe your work bench. I think "Topsy-Turvy" is as good a description as any.
Congratulations on your achievements this season, and I look forward to future updates.
Agreed! Excellent work
Agreed!
I dont think your video is to long. I could watch this channel for hours. Stay healthy.
What an incredible, talented, understanding and intelligent human being
You are a hero and an inspiration for many who want to revive and appreciate the beautiful art of craftmanship. Love and respect from Finland.
1 minute old video from you - you've really brightened my day mate. Thank you.
p.s. After reading many emotional comments under the previous video where I featured my bear-proof door broken by an intruder I wanted to add that I don't hold it against him I have my own version of why the intruder couldn't refrain from breaking the unlocked cabin's door with a crowbar I think the intruder attained a tender emotional enlightenment while contemplating the touching defenselessness of a handmade structure he just couldn't help his curious urge of an explorer and in order to enhance this gamut of feelings he prodded the unlocked door with the crowbar I remember in preschool age I experienced the same feeling while disassembling my dad's typewriter thus I cannot judge the stranger for retaining his childlike spontaneity.

You're a good soul. Thanks for this comment. I just finished watching the video you are referring to and after reading the title I was so afraid someone had destroyed your cabin, thank goodness it wasn't!
Thanks for all you do, all your hard work, and for sharing these videos with your fans!
You have amazing talent Max , As always this is a great video . Thanks brother ...
You are so very funny! I'll bet you were able to put your dad's typewriter back together though.
Hello back, friend! This is easily my favorite project of yours thus far. What I like is it's incredibly useful, yet easy to make for any reasonably intelligent human being. However, I would like to see something similar without the use of power tools that many people won't have - and I definitely wouldn't have in the bush. Still - I love it when you show off your tools! :-D Thanks again for all your hard work.
*edit: Topsy-turvy perfectly describes this bench in English.
*edit again: Your apple cake looks delicious!
Your a good soul! Keep these awesome videos coming!
What great responses. Isaac Asimov said violence is the last refuge of the incompetent. I'm happy to see your responses are all very thoughtful. You have to have pity on the person who broke into an unlocked cabin. Thanks again for sharing your creativity and heart.
This man is so sweet what a gentleman he is .
You can call your creation anything you wish. Topsy - Turvy describes it well.
Your English is good.
Thank you for the excellent videos.
Max, you're doing a to job mate. Topsy-Turvy is a great name for your workbench. Love the fact that like us Australians, you also call the bush, the bush and not the 'woods'
Your story about the door is recognisable. Growing up in the country we never locked the doors. It was an unnecessary nuisance to lock and unlock and remember if it was locked or not locked. One day we came home from a family day out and my brother came up from his room downstairs and said there is a man sleeping on my bed. My parents signaled us to go the terrace outside on the hill the house was built into. As it turned out the man was an outpatient from a mental hospital about 30 kilometers away and thought our house in the woods was the hospital. There is always a reason. Thank you for sharing your attitude of compassion and generosity.
Tops turvy is as good of a name as any. Have you thought about making a “land sled” to move medium heavy objects like your workbench? Attach two shoulder harnesses to two attachment points on the land sled and you have some control over rotational forces.
(TOPSY, TURVY)
EVERYTHING IS UPSY-DAISY!

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love the work bench. Those branch clamps are genius. Never seen this idea before
I am in utter awe of your work and effort. I find your videos spellbinding. Thank you very much for letting us share the journey with you. The work you put into making everything is massive then having to record it all and edit. I just can't imagine the workload you are under. Take care and be safe!
"This video has gotten to be too long..."
Max, I could listen to you talking about your projects for hours. I am grateful of the content you do publish though.
The perfect antidote for the great reset and all that crap. Love these videos so much. Back to nature and craftsmanship.
You know you are hooked when you watch both Russian and English version in a row. Btw you sound a little different when speaking English: more rough like having a sore throat. Anyway wish you best of luck
The hold down clamps made of branches are called "holdfasts" in English. Topsy-turvy workbench sounds fine. Thanks for a great video!
Max, you are a true renaissance man!
Haven't been on CZcams in a while...this is still the best channel on here. Video just on sharpening? I cant wait for that. Thanks for all you do Max.
I like these longer videos more! And ur workbench name "topsy-turvy" Is fine, good work!
Thank you for the reply!
Very nice! A feast for the eyes. Thanks. I would love a film on knife sharpening. Great idea!
Spending a life with metalwork vises I was amazed how wood workpieces are held with odd and counter-intuitive devices. Then seeing them used it's 'well, of course. That's the easy way'.
The Bob Ross of woodworking. I look forward to the sharpening video. And maybe Kennel Bench since it's home to so many dogs.
You are a true craftsman. I'm amazed every time of what you build and the tools that you've made.
I honestly can't say enough about this channel! Constantly helping me out in life
A day is never lost to time if you learn something,,,,,,, and thanks to you ,,,,, I learned a lot,, Thanks.
Definitely a "Multi-Function Workbench", in English, topsy turvy is more like clumsy and tumbling down a hill. Your table is very well planned and utilitarian. Good work.
This doesn't have to be said but ill say it just because.
There is more here them a amazing craftsman.
There is a amazing spirit thank you sir 🙏 with love from Canada
no idea how anyone can dislike this guy's videos
You are one of the most wonderful people on youtube brother...I appreciate you. I just used your chainsaw technique to mill out 2 4" thick boards so I can make myself a proper woodworker's bench.
Sir, I admire your compassion. I thank you for broadcasting it. Your craftmanship, is of course, also admirable...Cheers!
He said this video is too long? No sir, it’s not long enough. I could watch hours of your videos
I can only imagine how peaceful and therapeutic this work is for you. Your video work, much like your craftsmanship is amazing. Keep up the great work mate :-)
Your english is great. Topsy Turvy Work bench works! It works because the bench is used on 3 sides and can be flipped around for different uses!
Stressed about university, however new video by max will keep me relaxed
Max I’m so impressed by your ability to build all does work tools from plain wood. I can’t stop watching your videos, I’m just hypnotized….!
I also agree a video on you sharping your tools would be so awesome. With that said everything you do is Awesome
Max, you are wonderful!!! I am glued to your videos with childish excitement - make them as long as they need to be because your detail helps me learn.
Topsy-Turvy is the perfect name for your bench and finding your video now is kismet.
Topsy-turvy workbench is exactly right as a name. Thanks for the great vid, and many excellent ideas
Thank you for the reply!
Max, you have out done yourself once again. One day before to long I would love to travel to the other side of the planet to visit you and work with you on projects. Today I learned that I lost another firefighter friend that I had worked with for 23 years. We had many plans to get together and do things but unfortunately at age 70 his heart gave out. We have communicated many times you have an amazing heart and great imagination when it comes to building things. I hope someday I'll get to meet you and build something with you!
You remind me of this man from Alaska he did a video on building different things too. I loved it. the name of the video was called. Alone in the Wilderness
The guy's name was bob sweater
Your English is better than mine and I was born here. Topsy Turvy forever friend
Thank you for your views on the person(s) who broke the door of your cabin.
You have demonstrated the true meaning of understanding, empathy and compassion.
Every time I hear "hello friends" I know I'm in for a treat, just watching what you are doing, making, building is a learning experience. Your work is fantastic, the attention to the smallest detail is wonderful to watch. Stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep dry and warm. Oh, Topsy-turvy is a great name.
North Carolina USA here and all ready anxiously waiting for the next "hello friends".
You’re a good man. Compassion and empathy is a good thing.
When you talk about working with wood, it brings a very soothing vibe to my inner peace. I feel the same way.
You are truly a master craftsman and artist all rolled into one!
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us my brother, I truly enjoy watching!
Imagine how people were 5,000 years ago without God’s True Book. How would they have known how they were
supposed to live? How would they have known how they were supposed to be in order to please their Creator? So
God gave the law of Moses back then. This law was for the people to know how to be. They saw what God expected
out of them. God had high expectations from the Israelites. Why shouldn't He? Should He drop His expectations for
love and grace? If He drops His expectations to accommodate what man wants, then He compromised His
perfection for man’s imperfection. Does a Perfect God compromise His perfection?
So God has expectations once He tells His creation how He wants things. His love and grace gives His creation time
to change. He is willing to help them change if they ask Him. Then His creation, while repenting or changing to do
His will, see His Beauty. This is a relationship formed now with the Creator. If He is the Most Beautiful Being, which
He is, how can His creation not want to obey Him? How can His creation not want to please Him? The reason why is
because of foolishness. Man loves his own foolishness rather than God’s wisdom, Jn 3:19. Man loves his sin. If
anyone loves himself, he will stay in sin. So man who stays in sin rejects his perfect Creator or Father, and
exchanges it for his own foolishness.
So now fast forward to today where we have God’s True Book. We officially know what God wants. God gave His
creation a big help, the Word, to show us how He wants us to live. If we follow His perfect teachings, we all live
with perfect peace, love, joy and unity. This is His perfect design for His children's lives. When we go against His
perfect design for what we want, sin, we throw away that perfect plan. We throw away that perfect peace, love, joy
and unity. Giving up these things is foolish. So sinning against God proves to be the worst plan for us!
God wanted to help mankind. God wanted to save man from his foolishness. He wanted to help us the best way
possible because He is Good. The best and only way to do it, as God saw fit, was to give mankind His Son. Why? The
Son is the Word, Jn 1:1. The Word always obeys the Father's will. The Father's will is spoken through His Word.
The Word proceeds forth from the Father's will and mind. So the Word that God speaks is the pure sequel to what
was inside the Father's mind and heart. Jesus is that perfection manifest. He is the physical embodiment of God's
will and thought. God's will and thought is expressed through His Word. Jesus, the human part, is the perfect,
physical expression of God. Jesus, the human part that walked this earth, came to teach us the perfect will of God.
How? He did this by example. This is why Jesus walked this earth perfectly without sinning.
So Jesus taught us perfectly. He even was willing to die not only death, but the death He did not deserve since He
never sinned against God the Father. He chose to give His life. That's why Jesus says no man forces Him to lay down
His life, He chose to lay it down, Jn 10:18. God wanted to save mankind. Jesus wants what the Father wants. The
Word always obeys the will. He shed even His perfect, pure blood for us. His blood is the fulfillment of perfect
obedience to the Father. Why? Because the Son asked 3 times in the Garden, "Take my cup not by my will but by
yours." The Father said the Son still had to shed His blood on the cross. The Son obeyed the Father's will over His
own. So the blood was shed for that purpose. Nobody else had that kind of blood. Nobody else pleased the Father
perfectly like the Son. So now instead of the law of Moses showing us the way to live rightly in God's eyes, we have
the Son. This is the New Covenant. In Jesus and His blood, we now obey Him instead of the Mosaic law as part of
this new agreement between man and God. So as man wants to live rightly to please His Creator, man now must
turn to the Word of the Creator. So obeying the perfect teachings of Jesus brings us to how God wants us to live.
The Son conquered the grave. The grave is the end of all who sin. The grave is the payment for sin. Satan founded
the grave. How? Because Satan started death by being the first to sin against Almighty God. Jesus destroyed Satan's
creation and fulfills the very first prophecy spoken of the Savior in Genesis 3:15. That's why Jesus came to
"...destroy the works of the devil," 1 Jn 3:8. Satan came to ruin God's Creation with sin. Jesus came to ruin Satan's
creation, death, with perfect obedience, which His blood shed proves. That's why in His blood, there is life. So the
Gospel is God's reconciliation with man. How? Only through the Son. If you disobey the Son, you disobey the
Father. Jesus says, “He who has seen me has seen the Father,” Jn 14:9. Repent and accept Jesus as Your Lord NOW!!!
Then start to read the Gospels and obey His commands. Follow Jesus only, no other man, no religion. Only Jesus.
Joseph, Servant of God Sent by Christ to evangelize the whole world
