Ah. The bullying. The dark thoughts. The fascination of the simplest things. The overthinking. The criticital opinion about one's self. The longing for something more. The difficulty in making others understand. The difficulty in fitting in the norm. The dreamy eyes and sometimes the bitter smile. The far away look, always in danger in getting lost in the galaxy inside that is our minds. Full of hope but aware of how dark the world could be. I love how the dark ones here aren't completely evil. Just broken and lost and snapped. This is beautiful. INFPs are more than the daydreaming soft cinnamon rolls people think we are.

Yeah most typical films have an INFP as the hero! Because we're the most "innocent" yet have a lot going on internally and if you push us, we become unexpected forces to be reckoned with. It's kind of the perfect formula :-)

I love being INFP. I donât know how I would be able to handle the world without a little bit of idealism to help me along. I think when an INFP loses hope is when they are at their lowest. Hope and having something to look forward to is an INFPâs lifeblood.

@@zeynepksl Yes me too! It's our superpower and our greatest fault at the same time haha. It's only a fault because it leads to procrastination because we're always searching for excitement. I'm 35 and still need something exciting each day. The good thing is INFPs are creative enough to never be bored when left to our own devices. I've always joked that I'd last the longest in solitary confinement because even without anything to do or anyone to talk to, my imagination would still be full of excitement :-) (of course I don't want to be in solitary confinement, I just think INFPs could outlast most people)

I don't like people stereotyping that INFPS are weak and over-emotional. No, they are not. We are able to detect the slightest change in the energy of our surroundings, we are gifted with the power to experience this world on a deeper level than others, we analyze every single detail around us, we overthink, we're messed up, our mind stays up in the clouds. And that's what makes us dangerous. Our impact is very underrated but is powerful.

Suble is a good word. And there's an art to subtlety, you know and a beauty to it. Before we were called INFPs, I belive we were simply categorized as stereotypical artists and romantics, and people love that crap. Lol
I suppose being this way is a gift, but it's also most definitely a burden.
Also, people dont seem to realize that INFPs or very sensitive types can actually flips sides. You push someone like us enough for long enough and you make us miserable for no reason and project anger on us, at some point we will go against our normal nature and the personality that was once there will have all the opposite traits. No more empathy, genuine kindness, thoughtfulness, and so on. You can most definitely hurt us and it will show.
We listen.
We can use what we listen to deal enormous pain..... But our default is to choose to use it for good, to create such warmth that cannot be replicated.
That is our greatest power.

I think it's a factor in what creates that personality type
I'm not sure if it's an INFP thing but I guess it plays for INFP-T's. Not all INFPs go through it, in fact, anyone can. But to those INFPs who have gone through trauma of some sort like Joker and many others, it can affect us greatly. I'll tell you one thing - INFPs are unique. One of our core values is authenticity and we believe we must stay true to ourselves. However, if trauma comes into play, we can become something we don't want or something different. Take into example - the Joker - he would have been a comedian if he wasn't laughed for it or have any traumas for it. He was always taught to smile, but he was never happy.

Can we just appreciate Frodo as an INFP? The only one who had the balls to take this evil ring that destroys your life and leaves you suffering to save the world. The one who for the most part of his journey was full of hope and believed that even the villain Gollum was redeemable. If that ain't the most INFP thing I'm not an INFP then. And ppl say Sam's the only true hero, no, they both are.
For some reason the word "redeemable" resonated a lot in my heart. Someone once told me, I always have mercy for people...at the end, even if they hurt me.

Joker is when Infp turns dark after all the sufferings...they use their empathetic abilities to manipulate people and it's really easy for them.
sometimes I get scared because i feel like I'm very good at manipulating people because I understand them.
It made me wonder if I was a sociopath at times.. I donât like being manipulative or anything but sometimes it feels natural or like itâs the only way I can get out of a situation. Iâm far more violent too and just donât care about certain people disappearing. It feels very icky cause itâs not in my nature, but Idk learning about myself more has helped I think.
Can I just say thank you?! Fellow infp here and honestly I often don't feel that "proud" of my personality type because all the other personality types seem so cool and strong, while we are the dreamers who feel everything so deeply and live rent free in their head. There's not really anything special about us. Not to mention that we could be so much but we restrain ourselves out of fear, but what do we fear?
INFP are: insightful, thoughtful and intelligent, self-aware, highly creative, analytical, observant, extremely empathetic, deeply feeling individuals, philosophical, supportive, compassionate, understanding, non-judgmental, stands up for what they think is right, even if it means going against the crowd, give great advice, good at making people feel seen and heard, quick-witted and wicked clever, have the ability to profoundly inspire others...and I could go on and on... Don't ever underestimate yourself. INFP are cool and very strong too :D

I cried the hardest when I was thinking of all the suffering in the world. In every shape and form. It was like the entire crushing force of the world's suffering just overpowered me and I could just feel was everyone's pain. I was on the floor in the fetal position crying uncontrollably.

When i watched joker for the first time, i got scared. I got really scared because I could relate and i was afraid if i turn into someone like this. I literally tried to balance myself for the next whole week and i have avoided to watch the whole movie at one go after that. In general, I'm happy. But the thought process, the longings, bullying, struggles and desire to be recognised were so relatable that it depressed me. I began to feel and think like Arthur. Although i couldn't imagine of doing things he did.

Earlier i was an infj and now I'm infp.
Adolf hitler was an infj, I don't know why but i feel some connection I don't know what but something and then i realised that i can become him which i don't want to and then started working on myself always having adolf hitler in my head. And this happens with a lot characters.
Yes, I had the same realisation when I first watched The Joker. It seems likes I was him yet I was distant from him, kinda weird to explain.

i think the whole prone to depression thing is a little exaggerated. There's just an inclination to reflect on oneself frequently. Thinking and feeling so much, all of it processed mostly when one is alone. I find that people of this personality are not really shy, just very much in their head. They are very Intune with their own emotions, overanalyzed all their feelings and memories and past experiences whenever there's a silent moment in a day. If they have a talent for words, they can fully articulate every minutiae of their experience, what, how and why, they love, or hate or smile. It's very difficult for them, because they would realize whenever they are genuinely happy and be acutely aware when that emotion passes. They aren't pure daydreamers, or ephemeral fairies. They live in reality, painfully aware of reality and all its compromises and disappointments. But that gives them perspective that doesn't come naturally to other people. They more than anyone can help make someone understand what hey are going through because they know themselves like the back of their hand

Yup, that's why we ARE prone to depression, we tend to wallow in our emotions and feel intensely. Doesn't mean we are always depressed as the memes depict. Little annoyed by this stereotype too.

When I first read Anne of Green Gables I had an instant connection to her. She felt like a character I read about from childhood, even though I first read the book when I was 15. The overactive imagination and the belief that everything you do is wrong, which inevitably leads to you making more mistakes. The longing for a âkindred spiritâ. It took me a long time to figure out why.
I am biased, but I think the most interesting characters are INFPs. Because we are such thinkers, this translates into really great writing. But I think the most special thing is the way in which we see the world, all the vibrant colours and all the stories we can make of it.
Anne really opened my eyes to the beautiful parts of my personality, not just the overthinking and destructive daydreaming patterns. I am so grateful to her for that, even though I know she isnât a real person, she feels real to me.
Thank you for this. Sometimes I feel like a fake infp. Iâm quite cynical and sometimes very blunt and realistic. I spend so much time pretending to be outgoing but it never seems to work and it always feels like everyone can see right through it. I laugh at all the wrong times and say things out of the blue which throws people off quite a lot. I had my ambitions from people because they judge me for them. I waste so much time trying to analyse and become what people want me to be to improve. Sometimes I can be too much and other times Iâm not enough and I think thatâs part of being INFP. I liked how this showed the complexity of an INFP rather than just fluffy optimistic characters
same. and I'm in my 30's! i was in a hostile work environment where i had to be cynical, sarcastic, and harsh to survive. i was angry and tired all the time. i feel better because I am now in an environment where I can safely be my weird, dreamy, kind, and feminist self. kindness and optimism is a muscle. I'm glad i get to flex it and practice it now.

In reality, I am truely loved, but this mantra above, is my reminder to put down the expectations of others and focus on my own expectations. Chasing after someone elses approval is exhausting, unrewarding, and usually unproductive. My brand of weirdness has a place in this world, even if it is a little messy at times. As infp's we are not better, but nessessary.
i am an INFP and had a huge panic attack yesturday , mainly because of my idealism of the world , the thought that im a faliure and that i will never reach my goals even tough im helping others to achive their . i can see the beauty in everything but me . i love to smile and laught but sometimes i don't really know if im being honest when i do it or it is juste to try and boost my-self or the peoples around me. im a dreamer , i dream a lot of being able to be close to peoples and to fit in , to be loved as much as i love them without all the overthinking , to be able to tell them that my barriers that i put on are not impossible to break or at least i can put a door for those special peoples , i juste want to be loved and not juged for what i want in my life .

Fellow infp here. Your idealism is your strongest trait and donât let how others see it affect you. Youâre an important, loved person with potential and what makes you unique should be seen as a strength. This may sound generic but failure is the mother of success and you must keep working towards your goals. Youâre dreams are a strength. There are people in the world who care for you and its ok to let your barriers down about your insecurities and how you truly feel. If you are really struggling with this, maybe talk to a friend and if you really canât, seek professional help. You might be in a tough place mentally right now but things will get better.

personality type is never a problem. what matters is what you do. personality types are made for our world. they can all have a place in it if they work together.
An INFP is unique in that sense... we can be good, but some of us drift down the darkest paths because we are led to believe that's the only way through. Despite everything, we fight to persevere and overcome the hardest moments, but depending on those moments, depending on the life experiences and what keeps us grounded, how we overcome can be vastly different.

When you always resonate with characters who have some sadness to them and you know there is a sadness to you and then everyone turns out to be infp, I, the characters. Sad :(

I've had friends say I was a lot like Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls or Fluttershy from MLP:FIM, where they are so sweet and innocent until you piss them off, then they Hulk out. The Hulk is another good example of this.

I absolutely love this! Never realized that many of my favourite characters are INFPs. No wonder why I relate to them so much. Even Arthur Fleck. I mean when I watched Joker, I loved it so much. He has definitely become one of my favourite characters. The film portrayed him in a new and different light that I found so interesting and marvellous. His character is just so complicated and mysterious, yet brilliant and unexplainably beautiful. It was so well put together. I love it.

i always doubt if im actually an infp and it lead me to taking the test several times and each time getting infp - i think its because of the characters usually shown that are super goody goody- not that there is anything wrong but this video really did capture infp traits that arent the "good" ones that many of us have! love this video and love seeing infp related content
I also doubt if I am an INFP. And I also made test several times to get different results but its always INFP. It's like I feel not worthy to be an INFP - I'm far from that loving ray of sunshine and colorful ponny who always represents INFPs. So I'm glad that this video shows the other side of us.
Exactly, I'm tired of seeing INFP placed in stereotypical frames from which people usually make fun of. I tried to portray the other side of the INFP, and I know for a fact that INFPs are much more than that. They are the most amazing human being in the world. The world would be more beautiful place if there were more such people in it.

Our hearts are fragile and strong in the same time. We are misuderstood, often even by ourselves. Because no path leads us where we feel at home, if we don't follow our faith and moral values.

One thing about INFPs that always stuck with me is that emotions are their strength that can do wonders for them but it's also their weakness, and when those emotions that INFPs feel and it overwhelms them, it can be scary, very scary. As an INFP these realization also helps me organize myself, to take things easy whenever I feel too much emotion.

I love Kylo with all of my heart, thanks for including him. He represents a dark time in my life and I see a lot of myself in him, even today but a Lot less .. It broke my heart that they killed him, almost as If there is no hope for the broken and lost.

Being an INFP I feel like I see the world differently. No matter how much I wish to see the light and happy and euphoric sense of life, It always comes with a melancholy undertone. No matter how much I wish to help and care, I always end up backstabbing myself. I call people my friends, even when they hurt me in ways they'll never know. No matter how much I long for the feeling of safety, I still somehow end up going back to things that hurt me, friends, family, love, when will I be able to experience it without being sad, when will they finally understand. Under everything, I can never seem to find something that's pure happiness because all I can ever see is the hatred and death behind it all. I feel as though these characters all makeup little parts of me. Little parts that no one ever sees because of how much I try to smile. No matter how much I open up and say how I feel they never listen. the mood swings in my head are constant and they never stop.

What i like most about being an infp is even if we know that we're not okay and going some through shits in life we still manage to be somehow a bit positive, weird and funny even though some of those smiles are fake it still takes strength. I don't feel strong, i don't look strong but i force myself to be strong because i may not have asked to be born but i also don't wanna die. When you hurt us and keep doing it and take advantage of our unconditional kindness and belittle our good intentions, you slowly destroy us. I'm 28, I've been pushed to my limit several times in life. I was born into this world with the curse of natural kindness and empathy and I learned very young that that isn't what the rest of the world is like. I want to hurt people, I want to make strangers feel as badly as I feel, I want to see people hurt. It took a long time to get this way, but the hurting never stopped. I only think bad thoughts now, I can still see the beauty in the simple things but I can't see it in people anymore. Except fictional ones. And I seem to be the only one in my very large family like me. And in most crowds.
People are funny. The majority complain about kindness or a lack of it in the world, but most when they see it they want to stomp on it until it dies. All I wanted was to have friends, or to exist around others happily. Now I don't even want to live anymore.

It took me this long to find out my favorite characters are all INFPs, I hadnât realized that was the reason I love them so much and I identify with them so much.
I never thought Newt to be a INFP but I do sometimes act like him. Wanda Maximoff, Eleanor Crain, Vanya Hargreeves are the ones I could relate especially Arthur Fleck. All of them use their imagination to get out of reality because it was harsh. And I do that a lot when I'm sad or bored. Plus I always felt bad for Kylo đ.
