Your films are awesome! What camera did you use? I have always been interested in filmmaking but I can't decide between a DSLR or a mirrorless camera. Thanks for any help you can give me. Greetings from South Carolina.
28:35 this scene would have never happened in real life. A American soldier would have tried to capture or take out ANY MG42 they come across because that 2 man team could kill THOUSANDS of friendlies. Especially that close with them caught off guard they would have at least try to capture them. Awesome short film by the way. Don’t take my comment as hate. I was just pointing it out. I love WW2 history. I currently have around 72 WW2 rifles in my collection from over the years. WW2 history is a passion of mine and you guys did such a awesome job providing suspenseful short film!
Loved it just one criticism in the early stages one asks what's that noise another replies a V2 ....it wasn't a V2 it was a V1. You never heard the V2 untill it exploded. Just a little bit of factual info I personally feel is important.
4:39 That was not a V-2. It was a V-1 flying bomb, also known as 'doodlebugs' or 'buzz bombs' due to their distinctive sound. The V-1 was an early cruise missile powered by a pulse-jet engine and somewhat resembled an aeroplane, whereas the V-2 was a supersonic ballistic missile. xx
not in real combat no, but they have reenacted before and have spent hours in foxholes yes. but yea there a little clean, but its not like they would role around in mud for the fun of it either, they are supposed to be new to the front lines for the most part, so i mean they might not be incredibly dirty at this point.
@@prosaicpictures yes but thanks to BOB which I luv to death have some believing 101 was the end all be all division even though 82 started combat in 43!😁 Jman
The German seemed to cry water, but it was more likely 'Mutter' (Mother). Irrespective of country the last instinct of those gravely injured is to call upon their Mother, even if Mother has passed. Hospital nurses will have experienced it sometime.
Very good movie 👍. Will help you more in this history if you get information from a real ARMY MEDIC. Army coll the medical personal as MEDIC. I was a Hospital man. Name given to to the medical personal in the USN. USN personal that goes with the USMC/ FMF WORK AS A MEDICAL PERSONAL IS COLL DOC or CORPSMAN. IT'S A DIFERENTE IN TRAINING BETWEEN THE USA AND THE USN, FMF, USMC. DOC/ CORPSMAN. Thank you very much for this video. I will like to see more move about, The USMC DOC AND CORPSMAN ( NOTE: CORPSMAN HAVE WINGS MORE HONOR MEDICAL THAT ANYONE ELSE).
Historic reason: in the absence of higher rank, there would be rifle squads and sometimes even platoons that would be led by PFC’s. Especially when a company had suffered heavy casualties, and prior to being reinforced by replacements. The REAL reason: The guy who was supposed to act as the SSgt didn’t show up so we had to improvise, lol
bruh they weren't always covered in dirt back then. could be new uniforms, and if thats all you care about in a story then idk what to say, i mean yes it might have helped with the vibe of the film if the uniforms where more dirt but you complaining about i in all caps wont help.
wasn't any budget really, just a bunch of friends making a film in the woods, but yeah it is low budget and the acting isn't amazing, but for a bunch of reenactment buddies out in the woods its pretty ok.

They were Chesterfields. 😩
Oh my gosh! Y'all didn't tell me this was going to be a full feature!!
Can't wait to see more scenes added in!!
I wouldn’t exactly say more “scenes,” more like more camera shots added here and there in a way I thought it could slightly strengthen the scene
Let’s do this 😎👌🏻
Very good.
Very, very well done!

As soon as I heard this I lost interest in the film. Pity they could not get the simple things right !

You can tell these guys never spent an hour in a foxhole. Way too clean.

How long have these guys been in the field? All of their ,clothes are new. Never seen dirt.
Also what did the Germans say?
At what point?

Wow, didn't know american soldiers, never mind a medic, shoot german soldiers that surrender. And the film didn't bother to comment on it in any way.
