6:50 Those "weird clamp" things are for skinning catfish or bullheads. We always had a pair or two in our fishing tackle box. At 2:25, that "ruler thing" you found was a Miter Guage for a table saw.
That weird clamp thing is a wire cutter that use to cut electric wire and fence wire, it also use for fishing as some people use it for to catch catfish or pike, just to let you know
@blessbless5648, Hmm, you think so, huh? Perhaps there have been people who used them for a secondary purpose? Wires are easily stripped, and any sharp tool will work, but that style of pliers is 💯 primarily meant to be used as fish skinning pliers. Wire strippers are specialized pliers with gradient sized notches with blades to strip different gauges of wires. I've even used a normal pair of slip joint pliers, a lineman's pliers, or just a knife to strip wires. I grew up working for the family business in general construction, and we would go fishing on the rare days off. I'm familiar with the tools of the trade.
If that what you use them for it up to you and how you want to use them for is up to you, but the fact is it use for electrical wire weather is at home or on construction site , but pliers never use to have the cutter on them, it was added to the pliers later on, and just so you know where do you buy them? From Hardware store!! Not from fishing store
@blessbless5648 nope! You buy these FISH STRIPPERS at any fishing supply store! There are specifically designed wire pinchers for what you're talking about, and these aren't those! These would break instantly if used for wire cutting! Bye, troll! I'm done with you!

I don't think you have to worry about getting zapped to death if you managed to snag that powerline. Chances are it's relatively low voltage, maybe 240v. Combined with the fact that the line is insulated, it probably wouldn't travel back up your wet rope. Maybe if it was high voltage transmission line, but they wouldn't put that that low hanging.
It's cool seeing you learn car parts as time goes on, compared to some of your older vids. You've gotten a lot better at guessing pieces

The ruler looking thing is for a table saw, kinda like a push stick for smaller pieces to push the board back and forwards on the fence of the saw

Hi Brice I'm from Arkansas. The pair of weird looking pliers they are actually used to skin catfish you can find them in the fishing department at Walmart. Oh yeah keep up the good work and be safe! My family and I do magnet fishing to . We love it you never know what you are going to find every time we go.

Safe: crazy finds today especially the scooter it looked like an antique from what I could see & from ur description. That’s how they were made when I was young. Heavy load for u. U may be small stature but ur strong & determined
Some sentry safes are cheap, some are expensive
if you have ever seen a catfish right out of the water you would have seen the long fins on either side of their heads that have long needle sharp fins that they will use to rip your hands up with. They also do not have scales, they have a slimy "skin?". Cat fishermen almost always wear gloves and use those clamp things you keep finding to handle them.

SAFE The plyer things are what I was taught are called 'nippers'. Used for lots of jobs, stripping electrical wire to fencing to carpentry to fishing and now, to help fill your trailer

Brice, thought I would share a little trick that might help when you get in an area where decomposing things are. It is used by police/detectives when at bad crime scenes or have to watch atopsies. Put a little Vicks Vapor rub under or in your nose. Thought you might like to try it. Really enjoy watching you.

Bryce good to be concerned about power line. Had a guy at work who was 35 feet in air drop a rope down to ask for a roll of tape. It was raining so rope was wet , as he pulled it up water was being sort of
Squeezed from rope causing a small stream of water to come from rope . He pulled rope up an stream of water jumped up into a power line an he was electrocuted an thrown from the tower he was standing on what is much like that metal bridge. He was blown out of his boots off the tower an hit the pavement. Blew bottom of his feet out burns up his body an busted his head open like a Mellon when he hit the back of truck an asphalt! So I wouldn’t listen to someone who says don’t be concerned….always be aware of your surroundings man in more ways than one. Be safe ! 22:44
