Good morning from south Louisiana! I just received similar yesterday. the solar panel is the same as yours, but mine are the teeny tiny lights embedded in the wire. I will put them on my little wrought iron fence today. Thank you.

Cover the panel so it is dark. Then the lights will turn on when you're in the light. I hate the on/off button isn't separate. Had to guess when it was on.

Had a several of these. and at least 2 of them have had the charging circuit pack up. In the end I used a buck converter to produce 1.5 volts and just leave the solar unit upside down so I still have access to the switches. There is no memory on the mode if the power goes off for any length of time they start up on random flashing

    Troubleshooting:
First thing, the rechargeable batteries they come with are crap. Change them out for some eneloop rechargeable batteries they'll last much longer.
If it ever stops working but it's getting sun during the day check/clean the battery terminals.

Hey! I have the very same ones only 500 instead of 200... I set them up yesterday but I don’t know if I have the power button on or off and no idea now if they’re faulty or they were powered off accidentally and just haven’t gotten enough charge, any tips? Does it automatically solar charge even if powered off?

I have two of these. The collectors face South and they have worked throughout the Minnesota Winter - nearly. One has become unreliable for no apparent reason. It is charging and producing the variable voltage and polarity to the lights, but it just stops working. Resoldered all the pins on the board today, but not confident of success.

I have lots of these and they are well constructed BUT it would seem they need a tremendous amount of light during the day. A few cloudy days and they barely light at all. Full disclosure, the solar collector is not out in the full open (as most uses on live trees would be).
