Chaya (you pronounce it right) means Life in Hebrew (it's a girl's name). Waiting for these skates to be delivered tomorrow. They are a bit outdated by now. The trucks have been discontinued and you can't fit the new Chaya trucks on this model (only onto the latest Karma Pro Black) so you'll have to get new plates also if you want to upgrade trucks. Well I spent €250 on them so I'm pretty happy I'd have had to buy a cheaper entry level model and for guys there's not much to choose from. I'll file down the H block also and I have ordered some 65mm 78A street wheels and longer Chaya Cherry Bomb toe stops.

I had chaya skates before and the grind block is horrible very unsafe. I ride moxi jack with bigfoot blox and is the best set up i ever had. Also one advice for wheels, you should try out Rita juice 95A they are really good on wooden or concrete ramps. They have a slim profile so when doing grinds you get little wheel bite/drag.

The grind block is like that by design including the fact it’s slightly higher than the trucks. If you check out the video of one of the designers, Ricardo Lino, he explains why they did it that way.

I like the review but one minor detail: Wrapping your laces around your ankle does not add to support.
It’s a awful thing for your tendons and blood supply and does nothing for "support." It does help destroy your boot though.
What you should do: Lace your boots correctly in the eyelets. Just a heads up. ;)

I do agree with bringing out more agressive hardboots into quadskating. But they will be more heavier then agressive inline skates somehow. I got the roces m12 converted to a rollerskate plate and these are heavy af. You should check TOTO plates. One of the best plates and they are made to be used on agressive inline skates the only issue is that they don’t have toestops.

@@gmkwheels not just one of the best, possibly the only one at all. I don’t think there is anyone else who does UFS compatible plates.
