It was upsetting but now we are creating awareness for our future

I took your advice about microdosing mushrooms as well as having a meal before. Following, I’ve had a lot of eye opening and vibrational experiences that has slowly changed my outlook on everyday tasks. Just wanted to thank you for all your content. Love from Toronto

Ahh so great to hear! That was one of the changes I noticed in myself too - chores no longer felt like chores, but rather opportunities to focus. my attention and bring awareness into my life.

This is a great topic, And as always you deliver it well, WHat I have found is that because of Social media, as you have said it keeps people in a bubble of there own choosing, people don't step out side the box of their surroundings to learn anything that they think they might disagree with, As with scientific discovery we learn when we find out that we might be wrong about something. I tend to read a lot of books, weather it be about Science, religion, Psychedelic's, and especially politics, and I found that through studying the history, and the facts that I am more informed then the people I encounter. that said when I try to show someone what I have learned through reading and studying, I get a very negative response, and told that I will be blocked by a friend or relative for sending, a video or a statement that is contradictory to the views that they have surrounded themselves with. Poeple, and this is by design by the government, and the social media platforms, don't want to hear anything out side of what they are being told. IE. the person watching CNN, says that FOX News is lying, and vice versa, the conversation in this country has stopped! and that is dangerous, considering that over 90% of all of the media platforms only swing one way, how can we as a people really get a true Idea of what is really happening. Just look at the 2016, and 2020 election, for over three years, every media platform was claiming some kind of fraud or another for the reason that Trump won, our Government stopped governing, and spent millions on trying to prove this fraud, and failed. so here we are and now we are finding that there has been voter fraud, but instead of looking at the fact, we are told that their is nothing to see here. and on top of that the social media platforms are telling us that if anyone even posts factual information on the 2020 election that there might have been something amiss that that post will be taken down, and not to be seen by the public. this is not American, and is how communism starts. It does not matter weather you like Trump or Bidden, but that the truth is known, but people don't want the truth anymore, they just want what they are being told by the News, and social media platforms. WE ARE GIVING UP OUR FREEDOM OF CHOICE!

Social media is a tool. Can be used for good or bad, as you say. Peer pressure, for it is a form of this, given people's sentiment over other people's sentiment
In the words of Oscar Wilde:
“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”
BTW if you haven't already, read Robert Greene's 48 laws of power. A great book on human nature

Love your response videos. I completely agree, the framing of the movie really seemed like it was done to just make it spicier, but it really came off as disingenuous and unhelpful, distasteful really.

I haven't seen it yet, but your video is revealing enough to where I can probably guess what it's about. Remember the myspace days? That was a seemingly innocent platform. Facebook probably wasn't intended to be the social cancer, but unfortunately that's what it's become. It's likely a combination of it's users and the operators of the platform knowing what a powerful helm they hold that can steer massive groups of people; it's frightening. I feel relieved that I'm coming up on 2 years without it. I don't miss it at all. I feel like an old curmudgeon (which I'm not 🙃) when I express my disgust I have for social media, especially when coupled with a smartphone. It takes people away from the here and now (the only place where we can exist). Facebook, like big alcohol conglomerates and pharmaceutical companies, is dependent its addicted users.
George Orwell called it, except people willingly keep their telescreens on themselves! No, it's not that extreme!...yet?! Ha!
Thanks for the video...and yes, it flows well! :)

Thank you! Ah yes, the Myspace days... Fun fact: Facebook originally began as an app for rating women on their looks. It was called "Hot or Not" -- so maybe it WAS intended to be social cancer?! I fundamentally believe that technology doesn't change who we are... it reveals who we are. If we have vulnerabilities/insecurities, that will be amplified by technology. The problem is, we live in such a vulnerable world.. I'm sure it took you a fair bit of spiritual development before you decided to close your Facebook account! I still have one, albeit just to be able to run my Facebook Page and to send messages to friends. I otherwise don't consume what's on the news feed anymore nor do I post. The most spiritually developed people I know don't have social media. You're in good company! (Also not calling myself "spiritually developed" because I feel like I've only just begun this journey in so many ways). Thanks again for another comment! Always enjoy these mini chats.

@@JulianneKeu I too enjoy these chats! It was suggested that I make a Facebook account back in 2009 after gathering with friends from high school I hadn't seen in awhile after a funeral. After 8 years or so of having an account, I saw that it was kinda something that took up time and energy; seemed to be a little emotionally draining. Also, it seems that interactions with others didn't seem genuine as my dialogue and comments with friends were available for an audience of folks I didn't know on a personal level. I wasn't too keen on how to do all those privacy settings! I kept messenger. That's still useful to keep in contact with friends and family. I'm admittedly somewhat of a private person and didn't react well to friend requests from people I'm not close to; coworkers and friends of friends etc.
I vaguely remember hot or not and those rate-my-whatever sites during the wonder years of the internet. Remember ebaums world? That was good stuff!
Thanks again for your video and also the response!
I'll look forward to the next one! 😊

@@JulianneKeu Ive been saying that for forever!! That social media is just showing whats wrong with society already, and not the other way around. Its like its amplifying the bad parts but also the good parts.

so far, i think this is the only place where i disagree with your perspective. throughout a number of your videos there's this underlying idea of "I did this thing, therefore, everyone else can do it," or "this was true for me, so it's probably true for everyone." i think that's something worth examining.
you make amazing content. i'm actively sharing you with friends right now because your kind of intelligence is this space is so rare. but for instance, when you talked in another video about being misdiagnosed with BPD, you didn't seem to leave room for the possibility that others (who actually DO have the disorder, for instance) could do the things that you did and find themselves worse off for it. it's like you've become so acutely aware of how mutable you actually are that you don't believe that anyone is hardwired. this is beautifully idealistic, but it's also dangerous for a lot of people who are desperate to believe that message.
i just hope that you'll consider this point of view. again, i REALLY like your videos. if you have any interest in having a conversation that fleshes out more texture and nuance, i'd be down, but i'm sure you don't need some youtube rando for that. :)

I love your videos, but disagree with this one. The social dilemma made it clear the true problem isn't the technology, but how it's used. Big tech needs ever expanding revenue growth. So there algorithms are programmed to keep us on their platform for longer, robbing our time. The technology isn't the problem... The fiat monetary system is. Bitcoin fixes this.
