- Maxson Goh Films 3 Retired Volvo B10M MKIV Walter Alexander Striders awaiting scrap at the scrapyard. The buses are SBS2660H, SBS2655Z and SBS2657T. Such a pity for these workhorses to be scrapped.

Nice video! With respect for the dead. ;) The Volvo B10M can last (almost) forever with just a gram of maintenence. So they could have moved people around in other Asian countries where they don't have the same resources as Singapore. I have enjoyed my visits there in 2012 & 2013, and it's hard to imagine Singapore without these buses.

Bus svc 174 in 2014 n 2015 also use these Volvo B10M MKIV Walter Alexander Striders. Its very pity they are gone in scrapyard.....

Now that majority of the B10Ms were gone, with DM3500s being left today. It's sad to see them go. :'(

Yeah, I agree. Unfortunately Singapore Bus Companies don't have the habit of preserving buses, unlike Hong Kong Bus companies. I suppose in Singapore, they don't understand the true meaning of "heritage" and they fail to see the historical wonders that they are scrapping. Haiz.

Ikr as a child I really loved this bus and the design but seeing it scrapped saddens me. Wished they made a museum and at least preserve the buses for future generations and us.

I rode it on service 38 and 20. I just miss the comfy seats.

I just rode one a few days ago. Had the A/C from a DM3500 and a Voith DIWA 851.3 like the DM3500. But the rear windscreen and everything else was from a STRIDER. HOW LUCKY AM I? Dunno why the gearbox and AC was changed. Fortunately I have the tix.
Is was one of the last registered Striders.
