    I love using TidyCal software for automated meeting scheduling.
    If you use Calendly, you're seriously overpaying. Calendly alternative? This is the best alternative to Calendly and it won't cost a monthly fee - so it's perfect for any coaches or micro entrepreneurs who sell coaching or Zoom sessions.

    Aug 11 2023: Tidycal just added specific date availability (allowing you to mark off specific dates, like if you have a mastermind or birthday,) and date polls which allow you to get feedback on which dates are most attractive to your customers. Tidycal is constantly being updated!
    2024: So many new updates to Tidycal. I can't believe there are no monthly fees!

    Tidycal works with gCal and can prevent double bookings with your events. For more details on how that works: If you create an event in your connected calendar (and make sure that calendar has "reading enabled" on this page - a.tidycal.com/...) and if the event is set to "Busy", this will block out the time in TidyCal and no one can book a meeting at those times.

    Several questions:
    1. Is there a tidycal android app? I'm a solopreneur. Getting notifications on my phone the minute somebody books via calendly has been invaluable. It allows me to send a new client intake form immediately.
    2. Am I notified via email and/or text when somebody books?
    3. In addition to customiizing schedules, can I create date "exceptions" like you can on calendly, so I can block out holidays or days that I'll be out of town.
    4. How many questions can you ask when somebody is booking?

    • @andrewmurraytv
      @andrewmurraytv  Před 8 měsíci

      Hey Doug. There is no Android app. You would have to integrate with Zapier (which Tidycal does have a native integration.) You could set up text notifications this way. Email is instant.
      Yes, you cna block out exceptions.
      More than 8. There does not seem to be a limit.
      Sounds like it could be a good fit for you - and save you on a monthly fee as a solopreneur. Good luck!

    Hi Andrew! Does TidyCal allow you to book a package with clients where they pay once and can schedule the appropriate number of sessions allowed for the package? Also does it allow promo codes? Calendly doesn't allow for these. Thanks!

      @@andrewmurraytv thank you. I'm finding that the only one that allows you to charge in multiple currencies so far is calendly. I already have Calendly and think it should do more for the cost. It would be nice to be able to create booking events in multiple currencies for global clients but it seems hard to find. It's odd because the payment solutions will accept it in multiple currencies but not the actual events. If you have any insights on that I would be super grateful.

    • @andrewmurraytv

      Unfortunately, TidyCal does not currently support bundled booking types or discount codes. They do make upgrades frequently. Looks like you might need something else to get those done for the moment.

  • @soinschamaniques

    I just bought TidyCal but... Ok, appointments might be place directly in my Google Agenda BUT, as far as I can tell, and unlike Calendly, TidyCal does NOT take into account the appointments I already have either professional or not on the Google Agenda. If that is indeed the case, it makes it (for me) more or less useless ! As double-booking would/could occur so easily.

    • @andrewmurraytv
      @andrewmurraytv  Před rokem +4

      This is not true. However, you do need to set those times to "Busy" in order for TidyCal to block out those dates and times.

    Sounds that it might work for us, just want to clarify a few things: 1) can we hace 2 types of events, for example Meeting about X which is synced with calendar A and Meeting about Y which is synced with calendar B, but it is all under 1 link, just choice of events from a user perspective. This is currently cannot be done on a free version of Calendly.
    2) can an event be linked to a calendars A and B and as long as there is a slot in at least one of them it can be booked for that time? It is a paid feature on Calendly. Thank you.

    • @andrewmurraytv
      @andrewmurraytv  Před 7 měsíci

      Great question. TidyCal does not currently support having two types of events synced with different calendars under one booking link. At this time, TidyCal allows one calendar to "write", meaning that events are only written to one calendar per account. However, you can read up to 10 calendar connections to verify availability.
      Regarding your second question, TidyCal reads availability based on free/busy indicators in your synced calendar(s). If an event is linked to multiple calendars, TidyCal will check the availability in both calendars and only show available time slots if there is availability in at least one of them.

    Is Tidycal stand alone or do you link it with another calendar like Google calendar for any reason? My website manager says to use it with Google calendar but Tidycal is allowing booking to be made where I have blocked out time on Google Calendar.
    Its been over 12 hours and still one can book Tidycal where I've blocked out the times on Google calendar?
    Also, I've got windows that people can book but those times only come up with zero buffer. I need 120min buffers.
    What do you think?

    • @andrewmurraytv
      @andrewmurraytv  Před 2 lety +1

      It integrates with Google Calendar (and other calendars) but you have to set your blocking in the TidyCal app under the booking type. Once you do that, you'll fall in love with how easy it is. Be sure to set your time zone in TidyCal also!

    Is tidycal gives the option to create an invoice? If ever we create a strategic session and we want people to not only pay but receive the invoice ?

    • @andrewmurraytv
      @andrewmurraytv  Před rokem

      Great question. You can't create an invoice in Tidycal. They will get a basic payment receipt notification from Stripe or Paypal depending on which you have integrated with Tidycal. I would check here for a robust invoice software as most free ones have crippling limitations: appsumo.8odi.net/invoice

    Hi Andy, does TidyCal send out email and text reminders? I'm trying to find that but cannot find any information.

    • @andrewmurraytv
      @andrewmurraytv  Před rokem +2

      Great question. It sends out email reminders. It does not send out text reminders as yet. However, Appsumo has a SMS product also and they regularly improve their own products. You can set up multiple booking pages and they just added a directory to help users promote their services: appsumo.8odi.net/tidycal1

    I looked at the plan and it says “10 calendar connections”. What does that mean?

    • @andrewmurraytv
      @andrewmurraytv  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Great question. One connection is one gmail account. Or one Apple calendar. Once you connect to one calendar, Tidycal brings in ALL the calendars that connection is connected to. So the limit is not going to be a problem. Also, you can de-select specific calendars, like if you have a sports schedule in there that you don't need to block off from booking appointments.
