In Scotland a good quality Scotch pie you will get from your local home bakers or butcher. Better quality ingredients,if you get the chance of your next in Scotland try a steak and haggis pie from a butchers or bakers. Absolutely delicious. Thanks guys.

i always get now the pukka microwave pies from iceland 2 packs of 2 for £5.75 pastry is cooked to perfection in the mic and a nice tasty filling inside

Iceland is the only grocery store that I've ever found the Gregg's sausage rolls. I guess Iceland carries their products exclusively. Too bad the Scotch pies weren'tvery good. There was a butcher years ago that I bought Scotch pies from, but he passed away, and I learned to make my own. I have the little pie tins and make my own pastry. Not very often, but when the craving hits me! The steak pies there looked alright. A little mash, peas, and gravy would make them better I reckon. Great review.

Hi Tracy and Colin, I’ve always wondered about scotch pies, now I know ! definitely not on the shopping list, but the steak pies looked really nice, perhaps with chips or mash and squeaky beans ! ❤

I would eat both of those. Pete probably would too 😂 I have had Scotch pies believe it or not! I like them.
Maybe a lower temp and longer cooking to help with the pastry.
I guess they looked better than they tasted!

Greggs stuff is always terrible , over processed mush . A good scotch pie from a bakers in Scotland is amazing . I shivered when I read Greggs we’re doing one .
I think greggs were better years ago … or maybe my taste is changing 😂😂😂

These looked good, damaged pastry. 😱 on the Scotch pies. The didn't look the best, I knew Tracy wouldn't like the meat (it looked 'mushy.' and just not very appetising.
The steak pies faired a bit better. The filling looked very good but you found the pastry to be soggy. You both gave 0 to the Scotch pies and gave a score of 7/10 and 9/10.Tracy rebelled and said she would not have another Scotch pie. 🤢

They looked awful 🤢...its like anything else, you both tried Scouse in different places & some can make it well & some can't, we have a family bakers here that are fab, the have the best morning rolls you can get but I'm not keen on there pies...
There's another family bakers in dunfermline, & i love their scotch pies...the actual scotch pies out of Greggs in their shops are good, they are a wee bit peppery for me though, but look nothing like the frozen ones from Iceland 😂🙈 ...when you are back up you can try a Stephens pie they are yummy 😋 😊 xxx 🩷

Yer a pie is what it says I’ve tasted the scotch pies and they have a mixture of very cheap mince and whatever they mix in going off offal. You should have gone whole hog and put your scotch hat on to go with gogs And try find out what brand of dog food they use for filling 😂😂😂

Morning Martin, I think maybe older people have suffered more because of the pandemic 😷, some are afraid to go back out into the world whereas lots of others couldn’t wait to get out 😂
