    I'm twelve so I can't do any of this since I live with two younger siblings and my parents so wish me luck to begin my cosplaying dream

      Hey, if you want to start making cosplay, you can start small. Use cardboard, scissors and hotglue or even ductape. This is how I started. Don't let anything stop you. Good luck!🙂

      I’m twelve with no siblings, but I doubt it’s ever going to happen =w=
      I’m going for Trucy Wright, but I can’t find many boots right for the cosplay, affordable and my size. So, I’m hoping for my birthday when I get some money, I can buy the supplies!

      You got this man!
      My first one was just paint, hot glue, and cardboard
      It's okay if you cant go big, make do with what you have and have fun

      @@OculuGuy you can go to the hardware store and buy floor mats for pretty cheap, they will have some big bubbles but you can always fill it with hot glue or some caulk

    Great job. I love how you kept the mistake of not having a way to put the boot on, and then showed how you fixed them. Good to know. Thanx!

      Yep, that surprised me too when I started cosplay!

  • @Nonskiller
    @Nonskiller Před 4 lety +1

    A good basic template to go by. Skips all the tape/foil and measuring because if you get the template it skips all that. Gonna use the Template and modify it for my own needs.

    Do you have any tips to make it as breathable as possible? The con I’m going is during summer and it’s really really really hot, so one of my main goals with this cosplay is trying to find secret ways to make it very breathable so my day isn’t a living hell 😂
    The pants I’m using are already very breathable, FYI

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  Před 3 lety

      That's a bit of a challenge since eva foam is not breathable. What I normally do is make my armor pieces just a bit bigger and put soft foam pads inside. This lets more air pass through.

    I‘ve got a question for everyone who tried sth similar. Can you bend your foot while you wear it? Im planning on making a jinx cosplay and I need to be able to move for good poses

    Hello! I wanted to ask what thickness of foam do you recommend using please?

  • @alyssanarida9342
    @alyssanarida9342 Před 4 lety

    This was amazing ❤️
    I was looking to cosplay that has armored boots
    But quick question, what kind of foam is it, and is a mini heat gun work worth it?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks for the comment! I use floor mat foam which you can find at most hardware stores. I'm really not sure if a mini heat gun is enough to heat form the foam. If you're talking about the heat guns for soldering, it's not powerful enough.

  • @user-vl6po2he1s
    @user-vl6po2he1s Před 4 lety

    I have been pondering whether I should buy a cosplay costume set instead of DIY. But honestly speaking, we all know how expensive they are; so when I stumble upon this video, I could probably try this since it's cheaper(in a way).

  • @saminahsan477
    @saminahsan477 Před rokem

    Can I use a hair dryer as an alternative to the heat gun?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  Před rokem +1

      Unfortunately a hair dryer doesn't get anywhere hot enough

  • @Reaper0__0
    @Reaper0__0 Před 2 lety

    Is there another way I can heat the foam if I don't have a heat gun?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  Před 2 lety

      Unfortunately a heat gun is the only way.

  • @roydiga2669
    @roydiga2669 Před 4 lety

    What kind of foam is that?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  Před 4 lety

      It is Eva foam, what I use is floor mats which are Eva foam as well, but cheaper.

  • @maximilianopatroniserrano7697

    How flexible would a boot like that be?

  • @wondercub
    @wondercub Před 2 lety
